Gary Phillips down - his pocket 6 running into TT and KJ - the King of Andrew Cowl eventually prevailing to send Gary out.

Sad news....Ellen Gascoine is eliminated in 23rd place.

Her shove with KT was looking good when Jonathan Walker called with J9....but a cruel 9 materialised on the board and sends Nellie spinning to the rail.

Jon Walker now public enemy number 1!!!

Chris Webber and Paul Taylor clash in the hand of the tournament so far - nearly 300k in the middle as Chris tables KK with Paul having AQ.

The board runs out  Ac Qc Jc...and yes, Chris did have the  Kc...

Turn the  3c, which locks up the hand for Chris....but the table erupt as the river brings the  10c to give Chris the Royal Flush - and also what is pretty much the chip lead.

Chris Hiam down in 21st - the AQ of Mark Porter being too good for Chris"s A8.

James Edwards down.....when Antony Spillings raises to 16k, Brendan Byrne shoves a/i over the top, James Edwards also announces all in, and Antony, who has them both covered, also calls.

James has AQ - but both Antony and Brendan have AK.

The board offers James some hope, as it runs 5674...but a blank on the river means James goes and Brendan/Antony chop his stack and the blinds betwee them

Update on the Heads Up.

In round three, Warren Jones beat Matthew Dent and Roger Wright beat Michael Perry, so it"s Jones versus Wright in the first quarter final.

Dan Patten beat Vikrum Mehta and Jack Stokes beat Nick Clayton to reach the second quarter final.

In the lower half of the draw, the last 16 is still being played.  Raj Dhiri is taking on Neil Sillick, with the winner to play the winner of Dane Tallon and Lee Hyde in the third quarter final.

Finally, at the bottom of the draw, Andrew Larwood has just beaten Rory Laidlaw to reach the fourth quarter final, where he will play the winner of Carla Goddard and Marcin Rejmak.

Matches are played over a single game, but that will move to best of three games for the semi finals and medal matches.

Steve Redfern down - ran into Aces was as much as we could get out of him!

Steve goes in 18th place.....he thought, with his cash in the PLO and in todays ME, that he has equalled John Murray"s record of 13 APAT cashes....until John casually reminded him he cashed in the team event so he remains one ahead of him 14-13! I believe these are as per the Hendon Mob database of cashes.
