Possible December Online Poker Challenge / League
« on: November 21, 2013, 19:04:51 PM »
Hiya

With December just around the corner I thought this would be a good time to do some kind of poker competition. Christmas is likely to happen in December (it often occurs on 25th) and you always end up with a few days where there you are off work, no football is on, you are sick of the pub and the only thing to do is play poker and gamble. So it would be good to have a little bit of extra incentive.

Some options we could do are:-

Best ROI on the 180 man events at whatever buyin level you want to play. You can play the turbos or the standard games?

Most profit on a certain level, maybe the $2.50 or the $4.50 depending on if people like the turbos or non turbos better.

Best ROI in all games $11 and below

Anything else that anybody can suggest, we could run it from 01/12/2013 through to 01/01/2014 inclusive.

$10 per man and depending on numbers we split the prize money up for the first few places. For example if we get 10 players we could do

1st = 50%
2nd = 30%
3rd = 20%

Anybody interested and any better suggestions as to what we could do for a competition?

What do we think would be the best minimum numbers of games?

Interest List

Rodders
Mark Porter
Asa

In!

My preference would be this if its not too much of a pain to manage. Assume we are talking about Stars only.

That"s my preference too tbh.

Yeah easy to manage, just a case of setting the filter my Sharkscope account. This option would also allow everybody to play what they want and if they want to have a shot at a bigger game.

It would need to be Stars only though, yes, otherwise it is near impossible to manage.

Guys we did not set a min number of games. What is fair?

50 games min? Let me know if you want to alter that.

As it"s Dec and we all I would assume have some extra time off work I am happy to go for 100, even though I have only played 8 so far. Off work today though so will play some over this weekend.

Play well gents

Just Checked the scores on the doors for this

Asa = 11.8%
Rodders = -39.8%
Mark = -69.8%

So Asa is crushing (in terms of the bet) and me and Mark.... aren"t. 2 weeks to go though so it can change a lot from here.

So we are nearly at the end of the month, it is Sunday so great chance for big swings in this today. Scores on the doors are:-

Rodders | Dec Game = 118 | Dec ROI = +6.4%

Asa | Dec Games = 238 | Dec ROI = -33.8%

Mark | Dec Games = 144 | Dec ROI = -53.4%

Both Asa and Mark are more than due a good run based on the luck they have both had so far this month (or lack of it). A tournament like The Sunday Storm or Bigger $11 can totally change things on their own though.

gl to ya both

Yes mate, I had a couple of good results when it mattered tbh, I was lucky as I played pretty badly in some of them but both of you guys seems to run really badly when deep in them.

I had a 6% ROI over the month which was good enough. Still like the small props though as they help you remain focused I find.
