It"s a disservice to the Swiss team, but also we have a precedent from the day before and on top of that, what"s to stop another player turning up and not bothering to play?Just because he"s not in the building doesn"t stop his chips from playing.Agree with this also, but no point in our derailing the live update thread on the topic. I"d like to think his chips will go into play in the later phases with the exception of any heads up events, where it would be completely unreasonable on his opponent.I would also add that due to the lack of intervention from the Swiss captain prior to that phase starting, the decision to award the team no points for the absent player should stand without question.

Just because the Swiss captain didn"t know enough to speak up (or felt unable) doesn"t mean it shouldn"t be pointed out. Basically telling us to shut up and leave it doesn"t make it go away, but I"m happy to hear it will be made right for the rest of the series.

He was removed by TD and myself - he got 0 pts - cannot go back now - I will NOT put his chips in play for the MTT unless Des overrules that and says "put them in play"
