Since the forum is abit quite I have a question

How do you get a squirrel out of you loft, (no it"s not a joke)

Do I get a trap or do I get posion?

If i catch it live, it"s illegal to relise it but the Mrs does not want me to kill it

How do you know its a squirrel? We had one in last year, never caught it, and it finally left of its own accord. Having said that we heard some scratching and hopping last night !!!

Unless it"s causing an issue...leave it.

It got in, it can get out.

If it doesn"t...it"ll starve and die....then you can clean up after.

Simples.

I don"t, its deffentley not a bird, I can here something that sounds as if its leaping/hoping too loud to be a rat. Been up in loft but no sign of any droppings. I have heard it at all times of day like at 3.00am this morning  >:(

A friend had a similar problem and they were advised to leave a radio on in the loft or play music as it scares them off. It worked.

We thought we had a mouse in the loft a while back, and set a trap. Deep in the night it snapped, followed by thud scrape thud scrape squeal.  Went up to the loft next morning and found the trap with a squirrel"s top lip left in it.  Somewhere in Droitwich, there now lives a squirrel with a significant facial deformity, who can only eat pureed acorns.

Was it a grey squirrell or a red one.... Red ones are protected..... Grey ones are vermin...

My mate a few years ago had a problem with rats.
He bought an air rifle and started shooting them..
Some were good shots, and some weren"t... The rat hobbled away..and died somewhere else,
His wife complained about it being cruel not killing them in one go..
He went to the hardware shop and bought some humane rat traps..

Several weeks later at the beginning of November one of the traps was triggered...

"At last, we have caught it" the wife said....

"Yes. Give it here..."

My mate picked up the trap with the rat in... "Are you happy now love, no harm done to the rat..."

"Oh yes, let it go at the end of the garden"

As he walked down to the end of the garden, he threw it onto the bonfire, then said "Humane rat trap my arse..."
