A great initiative by APAT which should be applauded and I will do what I can to get involved / support.

I do think the schedule needs tweaking though. If you look at Day 3 there is no individual event till the evening so if players are making the effort to get there early in the series that leaves a holw for those not in the team event, which will be the majority of English players. Can this be looked at please?

I also agree with Dave re the shootout.

Is Aspers London the one is Stratford?

Yea it is Rod.

Could do with finding some giant house for all of us and renting it all week. At first glance hotels will be very pricey if you want to do more than a couple of nights.

Wherefore art thou travel guru?

This one looks OK, it is in the London area too, reckon the owners might lend it to us if we asked nicely like.

Wonder if we can contact them, where did I put my contact list?

The Main Event will be a 3 day event with 2 day ones.

Without knowing what has been booked it"s hard to assist further.

Am I right in assuming that the Omaha Hilo is Fixed limit?

Cash LO8 sure...tournaments...PLO8 all the way.

I"m surprised that anyone can deny that London is significantly more expensive than almost anywhere else in the UK. FFS they even charge extra to drive on most of their roads! Hotels are way more expensive than anywhere I"ve ever been in the UK, drinks and food are over-priced, car parking is limited and over-priced, etc etc etc

However, it"s a great place to visit. Not sure I can afford it this time though.

You"re thinking of Central London which Stratford isn"t.

The hotel prices are comparable to Nottingham (I"ve checked), it"s nowhere near the Congestion Area, there is, I think, free parking at the Westgate (that I will have to check) and food and drink prices outside of the centre are sometimes cheaper than other cities I could mention.

Still at least they won"t be serving any of that Northern muck.

Each to their own though. More seats for the rest of us.

hi paulie i have just contacted aspers and they confirmed that the car park prices are monday - friday  £5 for 24hours and sat/sun £8 for 24 hours

Looks great - well done APAT!

Sadly I teach at one of those schools that"s decided to have Easter holidays BEFORE Easter, so I am back at school until Thursday 17th April. Will do my best to make Friday and the ME one day. PLO8 is the choice of the Omaha events, I think. Lots of fun!

It"s just that the Omaha tournament has "PL" at the beginning stating it is pot limit, but the Omaha8 doesn"t have PL at the beginning implying that it is not Pot Limit- hence the conclusion that it is Fixed Limit. Actually I don"t think that Fixed Limit ruins the game. Fixed Limit & Pot Limit are both good games in their own right. Fixed Limit gets more action so requires a different skillset.
