as no players have been named for any of  the teams in the team event as yet will any player who reserves his/her seat in any of the events on the 17th /18th lose there reservation money if selected to play in team event at a later date, reason i ask this is that majority of teams will not be selected until late february and by then  the other events on those 2 days could be sold out

Hi Roddy,

On Monday night we"re going to have holding tanks for all events via an online poker partner.  We"ll initially also offer reserved seats in the main event.  We"ll hold off on offering seat reservation on the side events until the following weekend.

Look forward to catching up in London.

Hi Des!

This "online poker partner". Is this being revealed tomorrow night too? I would read the whole thread, but it"s a bit late!

Thanks!

Joe

That"s my understanding.

It might be that the announcement will be made (with sign-up code) in advance of actual buy-in time to give us chance to download and move cash about but I guess we"ll find out soon enough.

Yes, the situation with the online partner is that we will have an APAT tab on their software and some branding in their lobby, but our players will only be able to see our events if they are tagged with the APAT code.  This is an interesting alternative to our own online site which we will investigate closely over the next few months.

Will ask for clarity, as won"t affect me.

What happens if the person is already registered with the online partner?

It you are already registered with the online partner, then you should still be able to sign up for an account with the APAT version of the skin if you do one of the following:

a) Use a different payment method on the new account.

or

b) If the only payment method you have is currently in use on that other skin, then you can ring up and ask them to remove it. You will now be able to use this payment method on the APAT skin.
APAT Online is on Grosvenor Poker. Down the software from http://www.apat.com/grosvenor-poker

The last time I did that for DTD"s new online site they removed my whole card from the other skins and now I cannot play on them.

Is there no other way we can have our user names linked to APAT?

edit by Matt - Note: Download / Signup instructions are here: http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?topic=14955
Do not download the software direct from the Coral site, or you will not be able to play APAT exclusive games.

APAT are pleased to announce a partnership with Coral that includes the World Championship of Amateur Poker.

The partnership will see Coral"s brand marketed at APAT live events and APAT online satellites, Leagues, Championships and event direct buy ins on Coral"s Poker; which sits on the recreational network as a leading operator on iPoker.

Under the partnership members will see an APAT branded version of the Coral lobby, with an APAT tab for our tournaments and direct buy ins.

WCOAP seats go on sale this evening from 9pm via APAT, in partnership with Coral Poker.  At the same time APAT have redesigned their website to give greater visibility to tour dates, and launched an APAT Online microsite.

We can also confirm the finalised schedule of events now, with the addition on one event (Antes Only) and some minor changes in timings on a couple of others, in line with general player feedback.

I don"t think that will be an issue on this occasion. ;)

You can do either for the main event, but you can only buy into the side events.
