This may have been answered, but I"ll ask anyways.

I have pre Regged Event #1 but travel times mean I may be 30mins late to the casino, am I right in thinking that my stack will be in play from the get go?!  Or will it be like DTD in which your stack isn"t in play until you arrive??  Cheers

This will be confirmed/clarified asap.

where can i find info on starting stack and structures?

only one can hope its going to be a good structure & starting stack!  :-\

The Main Event stack/structure is here: http://www.apat.com/index.php/live-schedule/tournament-structure/

Tom is finalising side event structures with Aspers, and will post when confirmed. s4ooter, this is also the case for late reg. rules.

Used to be that we"d get 50% more chips in the ME to reflect the fact that we were paying an extra £25 (compared to the Nationals). What do we have to show for it now?

I know the guys organising are doing a fantastic job and you cant always please everyone but I agree with what is posted here about main event starting stacks and possible side event stacks.

Is it possible to say have 30k for main event and just miss a level or make them a bit quicker I think most people would agree that a slightly quicker structure and more starting chips is better also for sides say 10/15k starting stack.

This is by no means a moan about structure of main as it worked fine last year just an opinion.

This is what happens when you raise the bar for people, pretty soon they get used to the new standard and forget completely the previous dross.  :"( :"(

This is a £110 tournament and the structure is superb imho.

Discussions about starting stacks are completely irrelevant and detract from the main focus - which should be the blind level structure, pure and simple. 15k, 20k, 30k - doesn"t matter if the levels aren"t correct.

PLO events may need slightly more chips or more/slower levels due to higher average pot sizes.

And lammers for the heads up (and maybe the PLO events) for a few levels to even out some variance.

i dont know if these current levels/starting stacks have changed, but apat events; both mains and sides have always had fantastic structures. And as far as starting stacks go, totally agree with dwh103 - irrelevant if blind structure is sorted

...

I"m not sure they would, and even if they would it doesn"t mean that"s "best"

Starting stack is irrelevant compared to the structure, it"s nice to have a million chips but pretty pointless if the second level blinds are 100,000/200,000 :D

Oh dear, what have I started.

For the record, I"m not suggesting 30K for the ME or any change to the sides (although I didn"t play the Omaha last year so I don"t know if that needed changing) , just something to differentiate from the Nationals (apart from the extra cost to us).

Agree with Dave and Brendan. Starting stack of 15k and current structure is perfect? Loads of play!!

Structure for main event is perfect for a two day £100 event - would hate to see deeper stack with faster structure. In my opinion, I don"t see any room for improvement within the bounds that APAT have to work to.

When will we see a player briefing with the structure for all of the events and player lists. It would be good to know the amount of runners each event has attracted so far.
