So ronaldo is off to Real Madrid. Great player but seriously flawed character. I know a lot of Manure fans who wont miss him too much and will welcome the challenge of reinvesting and rebuilding.

I remember back in September when the sheikhs took over at city, that Sulamain Al Fahim ( or Sulamancunian as he was known) said that he intended to bring Ronaldo to city. 2 things happened.

1. I signed a petition pleading with them to think again.
2. Sulamancunian was removed from the sheikhs team (he"s now part of the Pompey takeover)

It is still amazing that that such a great player is so reviled. I remember the general feeling of sadness from neutrals when Thierry Henry left the Premiership, but Ronaldo will be forgotten by August. He probably wont be at the world cup (portugal struggling at the mo) either and that really does make me happy.

Have climbed back on the DS satelite horse after the WSOP super satellite replaced the million last week.

Why am I writing this now you may ask? surely you"re playing in the APAT scottish satellite.

Well I was playing the APAT scottish satellite but now I"m not. Just like the Dublin experience, I had a flurry of cards (AA, JJ, QQ, and AK all in the first 15 minutes) but only won 2 hands when my QQ won the blinds and a BB special with 45 that flopped trip 4s.

Layed the AK down on the flop to a raise from leigh and layed the JJ down on the turn despite undercards on the board. Nail in coffin came after same player 3 bet my 3rd raise in a row. I had AA and smooth called the 3 bet pre, which considering stack sizes wasn"t the greatest. Money went in on a J hi flop. He had QQ, turn brought a 3rd spade giving him 1 out (the Qh) which miraculously came on the river.

I was gutted. I"m desperate to play in edinburgh and this is really going to test my clickfesting abilities with such a small field playing.

Oh well, at least there"s 2 more goes at this

Edinburgh here I come!!!!!

I was one of 3 lucky qualifiers last night in the $11 satellite.

Apart from the call i made with AK on the bubble, I thought i played pretty damn well in this. Again I was given some good starting cards, and unlike the last few APAT tourneys, I wasn"t bitten on the arse by them...no big laydowns needed and no bad beats taken.

Cant wait for this. Edinburgh is one of my favourite citys and the Gala Maybury is a great cardroom.
