lol, magic.

Leigh and Neil not enjoying these too much now ... a fairly lengthy run of no cashes has resulted in us both wanting some time away from them.

finished 22nd. A good run, kept losing races. could have avoided one race but was going FTW. Decided this will be the first and last time I use the "one time" phrase.

Played 9 DS sats today, no FTs, got HU once, ROI still in the 90"s so everything is good.

Spent the day in Morcambe with Mrs S. I dont normally make the habit of visiting seaside towns (having been brought up in one) but Mrs S is a massive hay fever sufferer and with the pollen count being what it is, the seaside is a great escape. We normally go to southport, Formby or Hoylake for this, but spread our wings a bit further today.

Morcambe was surprisingly nicer than I thought it"d be.

When I saw the Midland Hotel, I did a double take and thought I was at the original Dublin Airport. I"m not really an architecture type, but both these buildings are stunning.

Midland Hotel

A walk along the promenade, an ice cream at brucciani"s then a look at the Eric Morcambe (nee bartholomew) statue and I was pretty much done with the place. Mrs S"s breathing was sorted so back to the ranch.

Next weekend should prove to be just as serene....

Chester Races and the Chezger July poker fest. Cant wait!!!

I"m having my worst run in the DS sats at the mo. Have gone 20 games without a ticket. Have only had 2 FTs, and from that 1 minor cash. I did play most of these at the weekend where the starting table is full, so it is harder to get to the FT whereas during the week it is easier to reach the FT, but with fewer tickets available, it is harder to win a ticket.

I cant really decide what is the optimal number of entrants for success at these. But, there are enough pros and cons for any number of entrants that I dont really care that much.

My record is still not too shabby though

played - 128
Heads up - 56
final tables - 28
seats - 11
minor cashes - 9
ROI - 77.7%

How many of these do you play at once ... I usually play one ... I think that there is a lot of easy money but much more as a percentage if there are about 50 runners ... once there is 100 runners this gets diluted.

Have you tried any of the $10 re-buys to tickets ... I have played 2 ... one ticket for $72 I think ... tiny sample ... but felt like money swilling about in these too.
