crumbs - don"t recommend the STTs late at night

played 6, second in 1 and bombed the others. I was mostly 5th in the others, where the standard of play was much improved, push/fold strategy has to be spot on and hands have to hold. I"m not used to playing STTs 7 handed at the 300/600 level where I"m chip leader with 5BBs (tha"ts why I don"t play turbos anymore)

Only played one MTT today, a 40 runner PLO8. I"m a bit of a n00b at LPO8, so was delighted to finish 2nd for $220.

Had a 2 to 1 chip advantage HU but it may as well have been 20 to 1. Didn"t really have a clue and needed a decent starting hand or a decent flop to bet the hell out of. I had 77xx on a 567 flop with only the redraw to the house and no Lo possibilities (not too good). Oppo had a SFD which he hit on the turn.

Killer blow was when I had AT23 (2 hearts) on a JQK (2 hearts) board. This was a much better spot (I think..LOL) but oppo had JQxx and turned the house to win it.

played 5 STTs, winning one and coming second in another

played 10 MTTs (including one last night when I got back from the cricket) I won a Limit HE tourney that only had 9 runners (LOL) and cashed in another. A load of deep runs in the big field ones but falling short just before the money

played the 25K daily on party tonight ($162 entry). bubbled the money playing FTW. Knew 3 bettor was weak v my AK

still he called my shove and his K5 held...nh sir...

On the bright side I came third in a $22 STT and my bonus cleared is now up to 97%

the grind goes on. Had a few school and house things to do today but managed a few games

played 8 MTTs, coming close in a few but my only cash was another Monthly million package for $640. I"d be broke if these sattys didn"t exist...Had a deep run in a $33 rebuy but got binked at a crucial stage. Have to say that getting your money in bad and losing is far easier to take than getting it in good and losing. This has happened twice in the last 24 hours now on/near the bubble in tourneys with decent prizes and is pretty demoralising.

I am setting a target of hitting this before I go back to work (12th July). It works out as about 8 full days plus any spare time over the next 2 weekends where I can squeeze a game in. A great day on the MTT front, cashing in 5 and winning 3 from 16 played. Wins were 1/10 for $200 (well it started as 2 tables of 5), 1/30 for $500 and 1/73 for $650. Nearly binked another monthly million seat but fell just short.

I"m up to 12th in the weekly MTT leaderboard on party. One more decent result and I could make top 10 and get a free ticket to the 300K gtd on sunday. These rewards have certainly motivated me and I played pretty solid today.

quiet day on the poker front, as I had to go to the Doc and sort the missus" car out.

played in 11 MTTs, had 1 min cash and a string of terrible suckouts at crucial stages. Luckily I managed to bag my 7th Monthly million package in 2 weeks for $640 tourney dollars

I am up to 7th in the weekly MTT leaderboard now and if I can stay top 10, will get a free ticket to the sunday 300K. weeeeeeeeeeeeee

Top grinding today



3 STTs - 1 win, 1 bubble, nowhere in 1

16 MTT. I won a $55 turbo with 70 runners for $1200, had 5 more final tables of which 3 were cashes (one for $340 in another $55 turbo) and 1 was a bubble in 4th. Ecstatic about the win in a turbo. I never normally play these but with wanting to play a higher volume, I decided to have a go. Despite this result I wont be sticking with them in the long run.

I am still running top 10 in the Weekly MTT leaderboard but I"m not holding out too much hope as I wont be able to play much over the weekend so this should kill my chances...

bought goals on the spreads in the Brazil match and the Dutch have just gone 2-1 up!!.............come on the strikers!!
