I normally play 2 or 3 at a time

If I can win my heat in a 100 runner event, with 4 seats going, I am fairly confident of getting one of the seats. With 50 runners, it is easier to win your heat but with 2 seats going in the final you do need a fair bit of luck. As I said before, I cant decide which is the optimal number so will play them no matter how many runners.

As for $10 rebuys. If they are turbos they are too much of a crapshoot and take too long if they are not. Also, I end up rebuying too many times to make playing these profitable. Well at least I think so. :-\

DS sats are back on track now

played - 136
Heads up - 61
final tables - 30
seats - 13 (2 tickets in the last few days)
minor cashes - 9
ROI - 94.2%

I"m running quite normal now. lost most of my chips with QQ to an A rag. shoved my last 260 in and this happens

I then bust out when my QQ lost to both A rag and 33 to lose main and side pots

Vegas is booked.
I fly on the Monday 26th October (after the English champs in Bolton) and return on the saturday 31st.
My partner in crime is one Paul Mac (cyntaf). If anyone else fancies it then let me know

Its possibly not the best time to go, but its the only time I can go......so I"m going!!

Staying at the Imperial Palace (on thinkers recommendation) but not too bothered where I stay as I wont be in the room that much anyway.

Plan is to play poker....a lot,

or in Paul"s words "Win enough, so I can go back again"

Can"t wait for this

Well after the euphoria of the sunday warm up cash last month, July was always going to be a losing month....and it was....but not in any way that i could have anticipated.

I was winning sunday million seats for fun and am still maintaining an ROI between 90-100. I had a winning month playing STTs and had a win and few FTs for a profitable month playing MTTs. So where did it all go wrong?

playing cash? no. Did not play one hand of cash.

It was trying to qualify for the GUKPT on BSQ. I played 3 final qualifiers. Did well in 2 of them for no reward and a string of bad luck tales and donked out of the other, suffering no bad luck but just bad play.

I will stick at these but will play the $109 rebuys as a single bullet and will take the addon. I"ll also have another go at the $270 F/O but its getting to the stage where I might as well have bought in direct. I just cant bring myself to pony up £1K for a donkament. I may set myself the challenge of winning $1700 tourney dollars, cashing them in and ponying up that way....who knows...I just dont want to have another losing month online again...

these are a nightmare! wondering if blue sq will ever consider a steps program similar to stars, i think it would get a lot more quality qualifiers

Well, I feel very refreshed after a fantastic holiday in greece and turkey. I haven"t played any poker, In fact the only thing that I did pokerwise was reread Gus Hansen"s "One hand at a time".

i did write a paragraph about how I thought his thinking was flawed in parts, but I sounded far too arrogant so deleted it

I"ll just say that he is a great player ldo...and the book is a cracking read.

On holiday the only gambling that went on was winning bottles of beer off unsuspecting Greeks and Turks, who could not believe that an Englishman could play backgammon.

Anyway, I had been back in the house for half an hour before I fired up the lappy and tried to qualify for the majors on stars. 12 $11.70 DS sats later, I had no FTs, no HUs and a best placed finish of 4th in my 12 heats. I was clearly too eager and played pretty bad.

A few hours later, I fired up some omaha cash tables (to practice for thursday) and ended up winning 3 buyins..... weeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Today, I took the staggering financial decision to join the David Lloyd gym at the trafford centre. The wife is keen to join and I need to lose weight so I thought why not :-\

Joint membership is £148 a month (three month minimum - cheaper if you sign up for a year) which is quite painful. I know the standard story of going to a gym involves going every day for the first few weeks then getting bored and not going as the money burns a hole in your pocket.

I feel the need to get a few weight loss prop bets going here. Any takers? I need the action because

1. £148 a month FFS!!!
2. I need a financial goal as well as a health goal
3. £148 FFS!!!! how many times do I need to go a week to make it value for money??
4. somethings got to cover the cost of this and winning a few bets seems the best way
5. £££££££££££ FFS!!!! My hair has turned grey and fallen out at the same time!!

How heavy are you? How heavy should you be?

I have not weighed myself for a while - but I would get involved in a reciprocal bet.

I think I am about 15 stone 5 - estimated by rough belly wobble.

It could be on % lost - if we can arrange a weigh in!

I think I"m anything between 15,7 and 16,7 !!

If you want a direct comp, Louis, then I suggest a BMI percentage loss bet to take into account our different heights. We would need to measure heights as well as weights. I"m sure DTD will have a set of scales and a tape measure. ;D ;D

Failing that, I"m off to the gym today to meet my trainer. I"m sure there will be some form of measurement going on there.

The only trouble with a one on one bet is that (no disrespect intended here) you may give up after a week (say), pay me the $s and I am left with no motivation.

I"m still up for the bet but would also like a "target weight by certain date bet"...I"ll be able to come up with some bets once I"ve been this afternoon.

how about u, for motivation, each point man city win, u have to lose the equilavant in pounds each week.?

no thought in this, just popped in my head when i saw the post and the man city badge.  and with the team they have season could be a few points.

ie / between now and say New year day they reach 35pts...thats 2.5 stone?

just a thought.
