WSOP Fantasy teams rules and selections..(page3)

The last couple of years we have held a WSOP fantasy style competition on the forum..

I know it"s a few months away as yet, but was looking to gage an interest for this years?

Chris Hiam kindly ran the comp along with some help from myself by running spreadsheets and collecting points etc.

We need to tweak the scoring system if we are going to run it this year so any ideas would be great..

E.g .. Points for winning an event, points for making FT, points for cashing, Captains scoring double points? Points for POS? Etc.. Should there be a subs available?.. Categories.. ME previous winners, European players, Female players, UK players etc etc

Haven"t spoken to Chris about running this years, but is there someone who is a wizard at excel spreadsheets etc who would like to volunteer to help/run? I"m happy to check for results each day, but can"t do all that excell tosh and spreadsheets

Haven"t forgotten this Carl. We"re having some discussions about this with a third party which may delay our ability to run the WSOP comp. Can I suggest you proceed as originally planned to save possible disappointment.

Think we need to get everything set in stone at least 3 weeks before start of series.. Which starts on Tuesday 27th May.

Categories?.. Discuss

Previous ME winner?

UK player?

Female player?

European player?

American player?

How many wild cards?

Or do you say scrap categories and allow to pick whole team of players regardless, how many 6? 8?

Scoring?

10 for win?

5 for RU?

3 for FT?

2 for cash?

Bonus of 15 for player who scores most points through series (WSOP Vegas only)

Prize pool..

£10 winner takes all or split between 1,2,3 or £5 each?

£5 series sweat and additional £5 ME sweat?

Maybe some added prize aswell but that"s a maybe  

So who"s interested? Really need 15-20 people to make it worth while and need a volunteer to post a excell sheet for clarity.. I know Chris is a willing helper as am I to collect scores..

Female player... Vanessa Rousso

UK player.... Sam Grafton

European Player... Elky

American... David Baker

Wild cards.. Kevin McPhee , Barry Greenstein, John Murray

Or Scrap categories and just choose 6 or 8 random players?

Scoring.. If a player wins any event.. 10 points, 5 points for a RU, 3 points for any FT and 2 points for a cash..

HU events 10 winner 5 for RU thinking 3 points for top 4 and 2 for cash?

Prize.. Keep it free and all play for the added value seat that has been kindly donated by APAT or have a cash kitty at £10 for a series and ME only sweat or £5 for those who just want one of either of their choice?

So far only Chris and me have said we are interested surely there are a few others who would like to participate
