A strange phenomenon occurs daily outside of my workplace. A car will draw up with a male at the wheel and a female in the passenger seat.

The car pulls up the man gets out, the woman gets out, they meet at the back of the car and a quick peck on the cheek occurs.

Then the man proceeds into work and the woman gets in behind the wheel and drives off. At close of business the reverse occurs. The woman drives up gets out and goes into the passenger seat, the male gets in the driver seat and heads off.

FFS do you not trust the girl, you must do if you let her have the car for the day, or do you not care as long as you are not in the car when she's driving.

Trust is a dying commodity and such a fragile thing.......

My wife and I always share the driving 50/50, especially when we go to the pub. I drive there, and she drives back. Absolute equality.

You have to laugh at the MP"s expense scandal,

1) they are being asked to pay back £1.3 million after the review by Sir Thomas Legg

2) Cost of said review £1.16 million

So at least that"s a profit then  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Latest update is that the new "commission" to oversee the expenses is going to cost per year more than the MP"s have been asked to pay back over the last 3 years.

economics was never my strong point but DOH!!!! so possible break even in 3 years and then when the politicians are behaving themselves it will cost 3 times as much to stop then cheating per year. GGWP

1 boss @100,000pa and twenty staff -- where do you apply for that sort of job

The point of the thing is hardly for the purpose of making a profit. It"s something the government has decided to do. Most things the government does don"t generate any income but that doesn"t mean that they shouldn"t happen. I would object to the expenses circus for a lot of reasons, mostly to do with it being a waste of time over a pittance when there are lots of more important things that should be focused on, but not turning a profit wouldn"t be one of the reasons.

Maybe it"s romance

Maybe they do everything together and share everything

So one of them can"t drive somewhere - they have to drive there

Glass half full Ger - think the best of people :D

OK then why can"t SHE drive to drop him off - pick him up and SHE drives home, that was the point of the post, not their perceived togetherness

It was the best I could do on the thinking positive side.

My next task is to assume the snow isn"t going to affect my journey to work tomorrow

I always share the driving with my lass when we go out for a drink..........I drive there.....she drives back....simples  ;D

And as a general rule if we travelling anywhere together....I always drive, if she drives she scares the life out of my most of the time FFS

Big rollover in the Euromillions tonight cue conv.

Me: Rollover in the Euro tonight
Marie: Not bothering
Me: it"s 113 mill
Marie: Too many people in it no chance.

Now when I tried to explain the concept of picking numbers as against tickets drawn out of a hat I got a stare reserved for parents who have entered the late stages of dementia......

Lovely afternoon of Rugby ahead.

Wales v Scotland - is this too close to call, will Wales repeat their sillyness and sloppy handling or will the real Welsh team turn up. Will Scotland bring 10 man rugby to the contest. (Well done Chris Paterson on his 100th cap a great milestone for any player, his boot could be crucial, does the fecker ever miss). Welsh speed v Scottish power. Too close to call? Nah I am lumping on Wales

France v Ireland (The women [yes women"s rugby  :o ] lost to France last night - omen?) This could go either way I think and we will have to be at our best to contend in the pack - If we speed up the game and keep the fecking ball we might do it. Abviously it"s a heart bet - Lumping on Ireland and crossing everything..

With apologies to my Scottish and French friends, but Ireland and Wales for the win...gogogogogo...

Meanwhile, stuck in a leisure centre in Guildford, so will be scoping the thread for occasional updates :)

PS - remembering to set Sky+ FTW also.
