Good new at last. A majority of older people do not want to be forced to retire at 65, according to a survey. Now the government wants to extend that figure anyway and I for one agree.

I enjoy the work I do and it pays me well. I do not want to stop at a pre-determined age. I think the decision on when to retire should depend on someone"s ability and desire to work, not their age.

It should be a personal choice and not an excuse to put people out to pasture.

Last night's poker was frustrating both from a team standpoint and from a personal one. Re-evaluation of my play might be in order, or maybe not.  ::)

We (Liverpool) cannot now contest for the Division 1 title as it is mathematically beyond us now. However, I for one, will be playing next Sunday if only to rattle a few cages of the ones that can win this. Bristol, Cardiff & Walsall (who, I think, can only win if Bristol & Cardiff get no points and one of their team wins the game) are the only teams that can now win this league. It would not be fair if all the other teams did not play, if only to keep the other teams honest.

from the BBC

Ten people have been arrested in the US and charged with spying for Russia.

Low tech spies, Children get sets like this for Christmas  ;D ;D

"The FBI also reported, messages sent by invisible ink, money being buried next to a beer-bottle marker and "brush pasts" in parks, where agents swap identical bags as they pass each other."
