Stuart aka fatcatstu aka Rasputin

His poker style is a contrast to his brother's never afraid to put all his chips in on a whim and a prayer.

A whim and a prayer?!!? I flopped a set of tens once you know...

That Russian man still haunts my dreams. And not in a good way.

James aka JbWorldwide

James has been known to be a Peace Maker (Tallinn) [see below] a mischief maker (Chezger) [content removed by order of the Lord Chief Justice] erstwhile poker player (LPC) [well he would be if whenever he turned up the game was actually on]

In Tallinn he took his duties of APAT enforcer seriously as he resolved the Random Russian Man in the bed episode with a Dirty Harry impression of "You're going nowhere punk" no less intimidating by being delivered in his boxer's.

Takes his poker very seriously and has been known to shake his head when faced with play that does not conform. Never angry, takes his beats like a man [most times].

Has stepped up to the plate at APAT when he gained the stellar status of the elite. He accepts everything with a smile on his face and is ready for most things that life can throw. In keeping with the traditions of the organisation he has been known to imbibe a dram or two.

Top man.

Mary aka Mair aka pokerlass

Mary is a lassie from North of the border and has been instrumental in keeping the Picts in line during the league. She also is very frugal, as befits her heritage. When she heard that APAT was paying by the megabyte for their storage on the forum, she immediately helped out by deleting a couple of threads, top stuff.

Has been known to play a mean hand of poker by the way and has conquered APAT comps and other MTT's with uncanny regularity.

Travels to APAT's when she can and is great company. Has been known to sink a drink or two whilst on her travels. Can be relied apon to rail when others are in and appreciate the rail when she goes on one of her deep runs.

Top woman fierce supporter of APAT

Thanks Ger, must admit the most Ive ever drank in a while was at the Newcastle Team event as a Chezger member...so may sink a few more next time I see you ;)

As a woman travelling alone to events, knowing you are at the APAT events makes me feel better and safe cause you sure look after me and I am so grateful for your friendship

I have been laid low for the last couple of days and feeling generally sorry for myself. I saw an advert about the poor guy on the couch and his partner is ignoring the fact that he feels rotten with a cold.

What women have to realise is, they can get a cold and shrug it off but for men it is a deadly and insidious nightmare. We suffer, mostly in silence, but yes we certainly do suffer. At this time we need to be looked after, we need that tender loving care. This is a time of great emotional stress to a sex that can normally cope with just about anything.

So what has brought about this deep emotional surge, this baring of my innermost thoughts. Well I think that I have man flu. This is my fourth day and I have to say that I have recovered enough to offer hope to all men out there. Hang in gentlemen!! I am almost living proof that man flu is survivable. Yes, it will leave emotional scars. Yes, you may see a certain disregard by the fairer sex for this dreadful burden we bear. It will test any relationship to its ultimate.

This is a message of hope however. Bad things happen to us men but with inner fortitude we continue. We can conquer, we can rise above the torment. We need to draw on our core, our strength of character. We do recover.

Lying on the couch watching the Ryder Cup helps of course.......

Neil aka lukybuger aka G3LBOY

Neil is a top man and great craic to be around. Has an opinion on most things, however in certain situations the services of an interpreter could be required.

Plays his poker with an abandon that would do justice to the follies of Custer and the Light Brigade.  Probably describes himself as loose passive, anyone who has played against him might not necessarily agree.

A great supporter of APAT and tremendous company. He is Nicotine, drug and alcohol free and proves that stimulants are not required to be a livewire. Lives in Ayr, I believe, and still manages to make a goodly few live APAT games.

Has a huge respect from all he comes into contact with and always has time to say a few words whatever the situation. Long may this continue.

Steve Redfern aka AMRN aka Droitwich Danger Man

Has been known to play a variety of cards (I have gotten over my AA beat by the way) and is a regular contributor to the hand analysis board. A big family man (4 children I believe, although rumour has it that he has now bought a television)

Great supporter of APAT and a regular on the circuit. I understand he played his first APAT in 2008 and his AK was donked by AQ. I also understand that this was the last time that this ever happened and in fact the reverse became the norm.

Supports Liverpool football team so he can't be all bad (although geographical considerations mean Kidderminster Harriers gets his support also) and seems to have a taste in music that would suit an aging rocker.

Word reached the news desks of the major tabloids that Steve has been offered a sponsorship deal with Gillette, this has yet to be confirmed.

Has great respect within APAT and always has time to have a word. Top bloke

Feeling tons better today, so it"s golf, golf and more golf today then poker tonight.

Played the mini event last night and wasn"t running too bad.

With 180 players left (105 paid) I lost a packet with QQ v the mighty 10 6 but got it back slowly. Then with the blinds 500/1000 I had 22k and find AKo. I am lying 61st UTG makes it 2.5k, next to act I just call (don"t ask me why maybe I was thinking if someone slaps it all in and the original raiser calls I can get off it, I really don"t know).

Two along then makes it 10k (he has 30k back). Original raiser then folds. I have him on a middling pair, so did I fold and maybe make the bottom end of the money or did I cross all my appendages and shove his sorry butt.

I shoved, he called after a wee tank, he had JJ I lost, bottom end money was slow and low not unhappy with the shove really just dissappointed I didn"t catch.

Tonight in the Online English game I will mostly be playing like an eejit  ;D

Rob aka Swinebag22

I suppose you all know that Rob is a stalwart of the APAT Manchester team and even has the MCFC badge as his avatar. However as some of the more astute of you will garner from his accent he is originally from the far South West, Devon to be precise.

A maths teacher by trade so you think he could work the odds out wouldn't you. Has been a regular visitor to the Chezger Fests and is not one to be taken lightly at the tables. Reckons Daniel Negreaneau is class (although long suffering wife Laura fancies Joe Hachem).

Regular serial casher on the tinternet with one notable huge one. Exceptionally hard opponent loves to mix it up. Has a taste in music which, to be honest, is a little extreme to say the least.

Great company, great sense of humour, another top APATer.

Big up to the wee man last night, he reached the final table and has to be proud of his game. His exit hand was a no brainer AK v 55 - Ger shoved and got no help from the board. Must ask his advice in future.  ;D

My game was a wee bit fractured with a couple of loses early on by calling down two pairs with smaller kickers. It"s a leak I must plug. Then I decided enough was enough and shoved with a draw that was called by top pair and I was gone. I blame the medication myself.

It"s the aquarium freeroll today and I fell well enough to attend, probably a mistake. This game is a game for the top 30 players in the monthly league and should be a nice way to spend the afternoon.

The duke took down the freeroll - through pure skill and patience  ;D
