The aquarium was funny as usual last night, with dubious calls, dubious debates, dubious explanations of dubious plays, in short a scream. I played well enough and dodged most of the carnage and made the final table. Was never behind pre as the carnage continued but my pocket pair got out binked by over cards and JJ doesn't beat 99. Shoved my remaining 2BB's with 87 and was rightly called by the BB's K7 to finish 6th I think

Despite the whinging, arguments, tantrums, dummy spitting and general air of aggression it is what it is.

Priceless.

Had a conversation with Marie the other day because I had noticed that she had posted on facebook that she was contemplating moving out and renting a flat. Now don't get me wrong she needs to become a bit independent in her 27th year so I sat her down and we had a chat.

"Moving on then?" says I
"Yep me and Toya are thinking of renting in Chester" says she
"Worked out the finances then?" says I
"How hard can that be" says she

Sigh

"OK let's put down a few figures" says I
"Rent, you are looking at £200-£250 a month each depending on the property. You are looking at £50 each for utilities. You are looking at least £50-£60 a month for your portion of Council Tax" I started
"WHAT, I already pay tax" says she

Bless

"Then there is food and incidentals, and you are still paying for your car" continued I

"STOP" says she "I'm not moving out"

Gotta love her.....

Phone call a while ago from the wee man.

"Hi, you busy" says he
"What's up?" says I
"PJ has broken down in Chester and needs a tow" says he
"No breakdown insurance then" says I

I head in, hook up the car and ask has he ever been towed before. He hadn't what could go wrong.

LOL the trip back to his house was pure comedy.

Welcome back Dr Who to a brighter more entertaining story line. That's it until the Autumn now.

Watching the cricket is worse than watching paint dry, so am chilling out watching the Touring Cars, the wet track is making it very watchable. Especially the two Honda's 1 & 2 who took each other out of the race on the last corner, team talk should be interesting.

It's the league match tonight which should be its usual good mix of outdraws, minimal quarter and the craic. Looking forward to it in a mischievous sort of way.  ::)

Well it's all kicking off after the cancellation of last night's league games. 888 reckon it was due to 10% of their server farm crashing, whatever.

All remaining players received an equal share of the prize pool ($22.72 each). Now arguments around the pay out, the points lost, should it be replayed with only the 55 left, should all be allowed to play in a rearranged game, will obviously rage on for a while.

"You can please some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time"

Don't shoot the messenger either, whatever your opinions about 888 (and they are rich and varied), poor Leigh has to sort through the mire and come up with a fair solution to all. Mission Impossible IV in my opinion, and not a position to be envied.

First of all they blamed the Spanish, then they blamed a particular farm in Saxony and both turned out to be negative. The source of the E-Coli outbreak in Germany has them all stumped. Officials are now saying that the rate of cases is slowing down.

Of course it fecking is no one is eating salad anymore, good job it will never affect me.
