The player is guilty of revealing cards when he shouldn"t! Accident or not!

So if you get stopped by the police and be found to have no insurance, will it make a difference if you accidentally forgot to renew it? NO

Are you allowed to carry on your journey without insurance? NO

Yes, this is a bit more extreme than just turning some cards over but the point is:

You do something wrong you are punished there and then regardless of the intentions/reasonings!

Just my opinion... Maybe I should have been a copper?!   :P

Maybe - you definitely shouldn"t have been a Tournament Director, that"s for sure!

Personally I"m sick of different rules in different casino"s but unfortunately there"s nothing you can do. Some TD"s say they follow TDA then give a completely different ruling to the casino next door who also use TDA. When you protest everyone in the casino you"re in says YOU are wrong and make you feel like you"re going senile!

In fact I got caught out last Saturday night in Circus Liverpool which I"d never been to before. Threw in a raise all in one motion. Half the chips landed over the line (quite distant line IMO) half didn"t. Immediatley someone in the hand piped up that my chips didn"t cross the line and was an illegal bet.  The amount of times I"ve been told the line is irrelevant (both here and in Vegas) I"ve lost count of. The amount of time"s I"ve been told that a single forward motion counts as a bet I"ve also lost count of. So I called the floor, but the locals on either side of me told me the TD would rule on the line because that is the house rule. Forward motion not relevant if it didn"t all cross the line. So I withdrew my call to the TD on the basis of CBA, and it stood as a smaller raise than I wanted to make.

At the break one of the locals then told me that a lot of regulars use the line rule to catch out the unsuspecting "foreigner", and price themselves into pots. He said they all know the line isn"t used in many places any more and use it as an angle. Pah.

Back to this case, as thinsy says you can"t really write rules that give out different punishment for essentially the same action because plenty would do a great job of pretending. I don"t really care what the rule should or shouldn"t be - I just wish that all places would implement the same rule then we always know where we stand.

The replies I"ve seem supporting the "ruling" pretty much all assume that this is an angle and should be punished. My point is that it might not be and by setting a specific remedy you are punishing the innocent with the guilty.

...

Actually I think that should be the ruling for an accident, I think there should be an additional penalty after the hand if it looks like an angle shoot

No punishment just an exquisite shove by me at exactly the right time - yep he had AA. Lost in the side gamne as well when my pithy pair was no match for AQ. However had a few bevvies and as usual a good night.

Played a wee $24 game on Betfair last night and after 4.5 hours I exited 14th for $41 when I had top 2 pair and went out to a flush draw. It was a goodly game though and I enjoyed it a lot.

(fair play to Rob & Waz who took down 4 figure payouts last night - I aspire to that sort of game  :( )

So today will be a day of complete laziness, after which I will be playing the APAT WPT Freeroll, followed by the League game. Did you notice I said followed by  ::) of course the Freeroll has an added bonus to being a rebuy (A freeroll rebuy you say, yep free to enter for 1,000 chips followed by $1 rebuys and $2 addons, at least it is password restricted to APAT)

George Clooney played a guy in a film that had accumulated a shyte load of air miles. Now this guy has done it for real.

BBC

Now that's a hell of a lot of flying... And it seems he has never cashed them in.

In the Scottish Open in the golf there is a player who has a Chilean father and a Dutch Mother (who met in Ireland).

I think Ken Brown might be in a spot of bother for calling him a "Mongrel" on air which is a tad derogitory. Maybe he can share the same job centre as Andy Gray.

I luckboxed 5th in the APAT league last night, I could have played my stack better when chip leader but I refused to take my foot off the pedal  ::). It was enjoyable and we gained 2 points which keep us in touch with the top three.

Chezger league tonight which should be a laugh as usual......

I"ve said it before and I will say it again, Julia Bradbury would seriously tempt me to take up walking.  8)
