Did I fall asleep and wake up in mid July ?

Marie has just gone out wearing an ensemble that is probably more in tune with Syndey temperatures right now  ???

Weather warning from the Met Office:

If you are travelling today in these icy conditions, take a shovel, blankets, sleeping bag, extra clothing, 24hr supply of food and a flask of warm tea, de-icer, rock salt, torch, tow rope, full petrol can, first aid kit, jump leads and a fully charged mobile phone....

I looked a right idiot standing at the bus stop this morning!!!

There should be pics somewhere, but I can"t find "em.  Also can"t find the photos of us girls playing the footy in our bras.  Lads will have to go without seeing Joobs in all her glory.  Unlucky.  lol

While awaiting the news on the car I flick through daytime TV - it"s dire......

Escape to the country programs where new buyers with a skeletal budget want the world, chat shows of dubious character, stupid films, endless adverts for quick cash, debt removal and compensation claims.

Roll on work tomorrow  ::)

Was doing ok at the aquarium last night when the proverbial hit the fan at work and I had to dash off. My chips made the final table though  ;D

Before I had to dash off I was in a hand and had a quick look at the cards and saw 7 3 and had a plan to bet and then play the flop strong anyway. I raised and got two callers, the flop was JJA. Perfect for me I thought and second to act I bet again lost one but got a reluctant caller. It being the aquarium it follows that if they had paint or an A they would have bet before me pre. Turn provided a flush draw capability with a 8. So I bet again. Got called again. River was a black 3. Howard checked and I thought he would call me anyway so I reluctantly had to give up and checked back. I turned over my cards expecting a beat obviously. My cards had magically changed to J 3 - must go to specsavers  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Back to the aquarium again tonight and hope I don"t get disturbed, although to be fair I don"t usually make the final table  ::)

Antiques Roadshow tonight and a punter brings in a pistol beautifully engraved and in an exquisite presentation box. It was originally owned by Viscount Wolseley etc etc. After all the preamble it came to price.

Expert: Has it been in the family for a while?
Punter: Yes handed down from my Great Grandfather and I would never part with it.
Expert: Any idea of its worth?
Punter: No idea, a few years ago an auctioneer couldn"t put a price on it as it was so unique.
Expert: Given its provenance and condition I would say that if it were to be put into a specialised auction it would fetch £25,000.
Punter: Where is this specialised aution house then?

Greed is a wonderful thing  ;D
