This morning at 3am my work phone goes off. I pick up the phone and it's work. I struggled to rid my head of sleep and answered the phone.

"Good morning, this is the service desk" says the cheery voice
"Go on" I snarl
"We have had a call from Warrington depot and they say the orders are late"
"OK, I'll take a look" says I

I hang up and then through the fog of tiredness I have a blinding bolt of realisation. I ring the depot.

"Hello, Warrington depot" answers the depot
"What time is it" says I
"3.15" says he
"What time are the orders due" says I
"3am" says he
"What time is it really" says I
"3.15" says he
"What time would it be if you didn't put your fecking clock forward" snarls I
"Oh !" says he

That has to have been the worst excuse to call me out in the history of callouts.

The craic in DTD seems to be its usual fantasticness, damnit. The awards were last night and I am delighted to have been awarded one. I am in exceptional company in this particular year, Suzy for breakthrough player, Pokerpops for performance of the year, Carl for Player of the year, to name a few and of course the Hall of Fame inductee Paulie.

Paulie has been ever present on the forum since early 2007, his travel advice is legendary, his wit and prose on his blog ever entertaining. He rarely misses a live event and his company on these has been uplifting and entertaining. His ruthless moderation techniques on the forum are also things of legend.  ;D

He joins a select bunch of people in the Hall of Fame and I cannot think of a more deserved entrant, well done that man...

Took a break from a working weekend to enjoy an Easter Feast at my Sisters. Noreen is a fantastic cook and we ate royally, drank liberally and had a great time.

Working from home this morning awaiting the Openreach engineer to arrive (second attempt by them) to install my Fibre broadband. I have a feeling that I will be shafted again. No idea why I have this feeling, maybe it"s just that they haven"t filled me with any sort of confidence in all my dealings with them. We shall see.....

Just off the phone and they have moved the appointment to the afternoon without telling anyone. Feckers are pissing me off. Girl from sky got an earful, but it isn"t her fault it"s ****ing Openreach. I have fixed it to work from home for the afternoon as well. Shambles.

We get this at the moment

Doubt we will get fibre optic to our house.  We"re on an unmade road, so doubt Openreach would be that open to reach us.
