For the past 2 or 3 years I"ve actively avoided travelling BA because of strikes and disruption. They"re a bunch of clowns.

We normally fly direct to vegas from MCR. When BMI stopped the only direct flight (TCOOK don"t fly in the winter schedule) our choice for last March was BA from Heathrow or Virgin from Gatwick. Heathrow is much nearer but BA lost out because I couldn"t be sure they"d get us there - and this was way before the cabin crew/Unite started getting grumpy. LOL. Oh and Virgin were brilliant - the crew were really friendly + all drinks were free.

I also try to avoid Ryanair because they invented the charge for everything school of ticket pricing.

In this environment, airlines going bust quite regularly, fuel prices going sky high, all airlines losing millions and millions because of the volcano cloud, every price going sky high, everyone not being given pay riases, some being given pay deductions...  And these people want to go on strike because they are not getting a big enough pay rise...  I hope the ongoing strikes cost BA so much money that they have to drop routes and drop staff along with them, and then see who the strike is going to hurt..  No sympathy for them.

Didn"t I read something about virgin taking the old BMI slots from Manchester to Vegas?

Nother Marie-ism

She usually bounds in and bounds out - no hello etc

Tonight

"Hello daddy how was your holiday and how are you - can I get you anything"
"what do you want"
"nothing I was just asking how you were"
"what do you want"
"why do you think I want something"
"what do you want"
"daddy"
"what do you want"
"will you pay for my holiday and I will pay you back"

Priceless

This time last week I awoke to the radio stating

"Ce matin sera ensoleille avec les temperatures de 34 degres centigrades"   8)

This morning I awoke to the radio stating

"The fire brigade had over 200 calls last night due to fooding after last nights torrential rain"   >:(

Sigh
