So Bez (of Happy Mondays fame) has been in trouble for assaulting his then girlfriend. Representing himself the final minutes went something like this.

Chair: "Community service it is then"
Bez: "I'm not doing it. Bothered, I'm taking this to a proper court"

Chair: "OK, four weeks in jail then, take him down"

As he is being handcuffed, Bez gulps, grabs a solicitor and instructs him to appeal and says that he would now do his community service. Solicitor lodges the appeal and makes a bail application.

Chair: "Bail is refused and you can appeal against the jail term to the crown court, on a date to be fixed, probably in 4 weeks time"

So the WCOAP starts tomorrow. I am gutted that a couple of things are preventing me from arriving until Saturday evening. Work is one and I have a wedding to attend on the Saturday. Fellow APATer Jason Boulton (Jaycbee) is getting married and myself and the wee man are going. I will not be drinking (wow a wedding and I won't be drinking) and will hope to arrive at DTD around 7pm. I will probably play their evening game and also play catch up in the drinking stakes. Or I might even see if being sober makes any difference to my play.

I"ll be honest, I only posted so that I could get my "Live Updates" signature on the most popular thread on the forum.

Whoops, done it again.  ;D

There is a game in Alexanders of Chester tonight, wee £5 game - going to give it a whirl. As a bonus they have a Jazz Band at the other end of the room - should be different

TBH...I dunno...just a random image I pulled from the interwebz.

Offhand, I"d take a stab at Oktoberfest judging from the beer-tent look and the...ahem...murkiness of the beer.

Best I can find easily available over here is a 2.5 pint effort often referred to by the US lightweights as the 5-beer glass as it holds 5 cans of beer.
