I have a spot in the aquarium monthly freeroll today (courtesy of points gained). But, to be honest, I really can't motivate myself to go. I have had a lovely lazy weekend and just feel like being lazy again today. A few domestic bits to do, then it"s slob out time. No Rugby on the TV but I might just watch the football for comedy value to see the Liverpool reaction to Torres.

Just a wee bit on one Des Duffy. I joined the APAT community in May of 2007 and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. It's a wonderful place to be, great people and tremendous craic. This is due in great part to the people at the top, Des, Tighty and Leigh being the stalwarts, ably assisted by their band of merry Moderators, Regional people and other assorted colleagues. In Des's case I can only imagine the pressures of negotiation with sponsors and suchlike (I have heard he is a demon at this particular skill), I can also only imagine putting in all that time with APAT whilst holding down a top job with Sky.

Now it seems he is revaluating his life and fair fecks to him I say. He looks very happy these days; ecstatic is probably a better word. Life has a habit of building up tremendous pressures, work/life balance being one of them. It's a tough juggling act sometimes and you can get too immersed in the merry go round and find it hard to get off.

So Ladies & Gentlemen prime your tea cup, coffee cup, wine glass, beer can/bottle or spirit glass because I propose a toast to a bright, happy, profitable and rosy future for our very own leprechaun.

Slainte ...

Kinfishy - take note http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-12375646

He averaged about four hours to complete a marathon. He said his best time was 2 hours and 56 minutes.

It's the SuperBowl tonight and as I said before, one Richard Prew is the acknowledged expert in this sport. Having a lazy day so I searched for the stadium it's being played in. Some very interesting facts.

Originally estimated to cost $650 million, the stadium"s current construction cost was $1.15 billion, making it one of the most expensive sports venues ever built. To aid Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones in paying the construction costs of the new stadium, Arlington voters approved the increase of the city"s sales tax by 0.5 percent, the hotel occupancy tax by 2 percent, and car rental tax by 5 percent. The City of Arlington provided over $325 million (including interest) in bonds as funding, and Jones covered any cost overruns. Also, the NFL provided the Cowboys with an additional $150 million loan, as per their policy for facilitating financing for the construction of new stadiums.

Now could you see the residents of any of the UK cities actually voting for a tax increase to get a new stadium. Different circumstances (i.e. Only one team in the city) but interesting all the same.

The new stadium also includes "more than 3,000 Sony LCD displays throughout the luxury suites, concourses, concession areas and more, offering fans viewing options that extend beyond the action on the field," and a centre-hung video display board that is the largest high-definition television screen in the world. It's 160 feet wide and 72 feet tall (11,520 sq feet)

This screen is alleged to cause problems with punts, i.e. hang time high ones. It has been hit and the down was replayed.

It has a capacity of 80,000 seated and 111,000 with standing room. Largest crowd so far has been 105,121 v NY Giants (They even got 108,713 for a Basketball game FFS, how did the ones at the back see the game).

Looking forward to this..

I haven"t played a lot of poker in the last few days, no motivation to be honest. However I noticed a little tourney I might play tonight. What swung it was the fact that I noticed two names already in the lobby. So I will be playing this one now for sure.

The names?  Dawn & Jack

The tourney: Sky primo..

Do I buy in driect or play the semi @ 5pm for £12 -- hmmm

Harlequins v Cardiff on Sky Sports 2 now, just about to start!

Jack and I won our seats as added value in other tourneys.  Dunno about Ger and Jack...but I"ve never played the Primo before.  Should be interesting.
