Any thoughts on the new initiative from DTD, does it only suit the bigger bankroll, will it change the dynamic of the game dramatically or will it boost the overall pot suiting all?

I think, that for the higher buy-in events it"s probably pointless. Why, if you"ve gone out of a £300 event (where they are "showcasing" this system) would you re-buy (which is effectively what this is) for another £300+vig especially as they are deducting chips?

I"ve seen this "re-entry" thing a lot in Vegas and, to my mind it makes mockery of "freeze-out"/"tournament play..but that"s just me.

I was asked the other night what countries I have visited and it is a surprisingly small list. 22 countries (9.77% of the worlds states)

Then I was asked to compile a list of the ones I would like to visit before I shrug off my mortal coil and that is surprisingly small as well, maybe I am a home bird.. Asia/Australia/South America don"t know really

Canada & Australia/New Zealand should definitely be on the list.

Although, you do need a LOT to time in both to even scratch the surface...I"m talking a month in each and that will just hit up the main touristy bits..I know..I"ve done it.

I was on the verge of doing a "grand tour" of South America over 4 weeks just before I was made redundant from my original "career"...best part of £7k it was going to cost...meh...had to think of the (uncertan) future...balls!

APAT Australian Adventure though...I"d be up for that.

Another lazy day in the Smyth Household. I have a busy summer coming up, work wise, and because the big holiday is the Vegas trip I need to use up my quota. So I decided to take a few days off around this abundance of bank holidays. I have only worked three days in the last three weeks.

Have I used this time to spruce up the house and surrounds. Well I did de-clutter with the help of a skip and I had great plans for redecoration etc. But, in reality, I have done Sweet FA. You know what, it's been great.

The decorating can wait...

FFS what"s the rush with some people?! I stripped the paper in the hall 17 years ago. I just like to take my time picking the right pattern.

It"s that time of year again when the prize for the worst ever "Art" gets paraded

Glasgow-based Karla Black"s unorthodox materials include lipstick, Vaseline, nail varnish and eye shadow.
Is she parading her own face, nice twist

Martin Boyce, whose installations are inspired by concrete trees
I"m entering my back fence if that is the case

George Shaw, who only uses enamel paint in his work.
False Teeth ??

Hilary Lloyd, who portrays construction sites using video screens, is the final contender for the £25,000 prize.
Going to video the roadworks off the A41 and submit it for next year

For the love of all that is holy - THIS IS NOT ART

Sigh...........
