Now because I was away for the last couple of weekends I recorded the two episodes of Dr Who. I thought that it was a two parter, but it looks like it is a continuation for the whole series which is a departure from the norm as well. So I settled down tonight to watch them back to back. Now I am a big fan of the program, but I must say that the series has taken a turn that I cannot really put my finger on.

Still watchable but it is lacking something..

Plastic and tin foil monsters, papier mache sets, and K9!!

When Dr Who used to wow and scare me as a kid in the 70s, it was hardly ever set on earth..... yet now it seems to be mostly on earth, and usually in south Wales. Think they"ve tried to earn credibility amongst today"s kids by having local scenes that people recognise, but in my opinion it"s not a patch on the days of Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker.

So Sepp Blatter has been voted in for a fourth term in office.

He said "I thank you for your trust and confidence from the bottom of my heart"

WHAT ?

He was the only candidate FFS and if no one else voted he could have voted for himself.

What a fecking farce, prior to this abortion, there was an investigation into corruption within FIFA, conducted by FIFA and FIFA found themselves innocent, GGWP.

Fifa senior vice-president Julio Grondona, also president of the Argentina FA, delivered a stinging riposte to his English counterparts. "We always have attacks from England which are mostly lies with the support of journalism which is more busy lying than telling the truth," said the Argentine. "This upsets and disturbs the Fifa family."

Pot & Kettle comes immediately to mind

Jeez I despair.....

Was in Warrington Depot yesterday for a Project Risk meeting and as usual timed my arrival for a Cholesterol busting breakfast. Sated, I then had to sit through the meeting which, as is usual, went off on a million tangents but was productive just the same. The upshot was a few risks to be managed but more importantly dates for implementation set in stone.

I sat with my phone open at the calendar and as weekends were  hurled out there I checked the APAT calendar and came up with some very convincing arguments about why certain weekends were not appropriate.  ::)

On the way home from Warrington, the amount of people driving along the motorway and looking down to their laps was astounding. I can only assume the fecking eejits were texting, madness.
