Managed to bink a seat to the Scottish on line game tonight. To be honest I had the best time on line for a while, Only 23 of us but the craic was good and the banter flowed.

That is what it is all about

Priceless.....

Ger came back from his camping weekend last night.

I think he is cured of that particular passtime.

I have been in Warrington for the last couple of days and am scheduled to be there for the rest of the week. Busy times.

One of the people from our WMS supplier was on the phone for a while with one of his kids that had a high temperature and it reminded of the wee man. In his toddler years he suffered badly from constipation which resulted in numerous high temperatures. It would come and go but it got more prolonged so off to the doctors we go.

This young woman doctor went into a spiel about the new ways of working. This involved gentle medication to solve the problem long term blah blah blah. Just fix him woman FFS. So armed with some medication we returned home, the problem eased slightly but he still suffered.

That year we headed to the South Of France for a holiday and we were staying in a complex that had all amenities and all was well. One night his temperature rose alarmingly and we reckoned he had not poohed for ages. We popped him in a tepid bath and I used the assistance pack to ring a doctor. Mentally hoping he had English, I rang. His English was perfect and he apologised that he could not attend to the complex as he was taking surgery in a neighbouring town.

We headed to the town and were seen immediately. After explaining all the medications he was on etc. and his symptoms and what the doctor in England had said. He did his best Renee Artois impression.

"Stupid Woman" he spluttered and began to write a prescription. "Take this to the chemist" (he told us which one was open). Fearing all documentation and labels would be in French I asked.

"Any special instructions when taking this medicine"
"Yes, make sure he is near a toilet" says he

Priceless. Fixed him good it did.

Circles? Should we put people in boxes, I suppose to a certain extent we do that with facebook groups.

Do we need another social networking site.

Discuss. (The Jury is out for me at the moment)

Nope Facebook is fine. I have never understood why people need to have a load of these. Surely nearly everybody has Facebook these days and it is perfect for sorting out arrangement with people (like for APAT events for example).

Twitter is OK for updates and things I suppose but don"t see why people have to be on multiple social networking sites.

Still trying to think of something amusing to write in this bit.

A saw a review of it.

The gist of the review was that if it was a new start up it would fail because it"s not easy and straightforward enough (not that it was "hard" just that new things tend to need to be very very simple to hook people in)

He suggested it might work because in terms of corporate identities people "like" Google whereas they don"t "like" Facebook - but in terms of the actual product his description sounded like it needed a bit of work doing to it before it was a decent competitor in it"s own right.
