Does poker hate me ?

No not really,

I have been playing a few games on PS and have had a real good time, low stakes ($4-$8 MTT) and haven"t stopped laughing at the hands that have called me and hit - no bad beat story just a realisation that I am c r a p  ;D

But having a laugh, will I ever take this game serious - No but I will tilt a few along the way  8)

Been a right biatch of a week, now I am looking forward to 10 days off, so to kick it off I will get ready, go to somewhere that is set in salubriously exquisite surroundings, full of interesting people with intelligent conversation and gently relaxing.

Yep I am off to the aquarium...........  ::)

I can recall Ireland playing as far back as the 60's when we beat Australia 4 times in succession and beat the Springboks for the first time. In that period I can also remember Wales denying us the Grand Slam 3 times.

In the 70's I also recall that when threatening letters were sent to the teams, Scotland and Wales refused to play, but England to their eternal credit did with John Pullin famously remarking "We might not be very good but at least we turn up". I remember winning the Five Nations for the first time since 1951.

In the 80's France denied us a Grand Slam in 82 but we won a Triple crown for the first time in over 30 years. In 85 France again denied us a Grand Slam but we won the championship. We reached the quarter finals of the first World Cup in 87 only to be battered by Australia.

In the 90's we again reached the Quarter Finals of the World Cup in 91 only to lose to Australia again. In 94 we beat Will Carlings England. We again made the quarter finals of the World Cup in 95 but got battered by France. However in this decade we did not win a championship and were never out of the bottom two.

In the 00's We played a Grand Slam decider against England in 2003 and were swamped. We won the Triple Crown in 2004 and became the first team to beat England after their World Cup win. In 2009 we won the Grand Slam (61 years in the waiting) and of course the Triple Crown with that awesome game against Wales at the Millenium. Ireland were unbeaten in all games in 2009.

In the 10's we started by being undone by Scotland for the Triple Crown (damn you Dan Parks) and this year we denied England the Grand Slam.

Where is this going, well Ireland were poor against the USA but all subsequent matches have seen this team attain consistency. Past years have taught us that while we had skill and heart we lacked consistency. I hope this year will be different and we do not slip into the historical inconsistency. I will not count chickens or wish for the World, but I would like an Ireland v NZ final. It is a wish that is attainable so let's just fecking do it.

Ireland"s pack is immense

Cian Healy and Stephen O"Brien in particular, world class

Paradoxically I think Ireland have more to fear from Wales, playing free-spiritied and with adventure than England, playing quite rigid and thus at risk of getting dismantled up front

However its extremely tight and whoever makes the final out of these four will come down to injuries, a bit of luck and mistakes

Hmm watched the highlights of the game against Fiji and as usual your Tightness - Nail and Head. Although one would hope that Ireland would make the tackles and be generally tighter.

There was debate on here a while ago about poker sites charging an inactivity charge on dormant accounts. Well today I received this from Ladbrokes (shortened as is was fecking long)

"Dear Gerard Smyth,

Important Account Information
This has been sent to all customers as it contains important account information.

We recently wrote to you about an Administrative Fee which would be applied to your Ladbrokes account.

The Fee has now been taken from your account and was calculated as either £2 (or currency equivalent) or 5% of the balance on the date at which your account became inactive, whichever is greater. When calculating the charge, we have included balances from all wallets (including poker, casino etc). The Fee itself has been taken from the Sportsbook wallet and this may result in a negative balance if funds were held elsewhere."

OMG panic now what was my username & password, must sign on and stop them taking any more of my bankroll. After numerous attempts at logging on, I contacted support and after a long long while I managed to sign on. It was worse than I expected they took the whole amount of my balance FFS.

Now my Poker balance is £0.70 and my sportsbook is -£0.70, the humiliation of it, zero money in Ladbrokes. Only one thing for it, yep Ladbrokes uninstalled.

my laddies account is now in debt for the same reason (about £2) - sent them an email asking them to close my account and to wish them good luck getting the £2

I know these charges are standard on most sites on dormant accounts with a balance, but have never heard of this being applied to zero balances
