So according to the BBC, when I was born I was the 2,736,082,096th person alive on Earth at that time. Every hour, in the UK there are 85 births, 66 deaths and 23 immigrants with a population of 62,258,571. Average life expectancy for men is 77.4 years.

It's a slow day and the rugby is a tad boring.

So France routed Italy in a clinical "just do enough" game. Now for the grudge game

Scotland (managed by an Englishman) V England (managed by a Scotsman)

I am sticking my neck out here and forecasting a Scotland win by 8 points.

Have we ever had a scoreless draw in the six nations?  Sigh.

The best bit so far has been the Red Hot Chili Pipers prematch.

Were going to struggle with that numpty at stand off. Laidlaws been playing well for Edinburgh ,get him on at half timeto get the backline moving.

Well after that very dire excuse for a rugby match it turns out England didn"t win this game - Scotland lost it.

Too many ball handling error
Too many errant kicks
Too much loss of concentration in vital areas

You can"t make those mistakes at this level and hope to win.

Good news on Keith Earl's wee new born, she is recovering well. Putting things in perspective is a good thing, we might roar and shout at the TV when the teams are playing but other things are immeasurably more important.

The match today.

Us of the older generation still can't get used to Sunday games, TV rules. However home advantage and the fact that none of the Welsh team have ever played at the Aviva before leads me to believe that Ireland can win today. Ireland's front 5 should deliver a difference given Wales have injury problems in that department. The back row is possibly the best ball carrying trio I have ever seen play for Ireland and the availability of consistent set piece possession should provide the platform for the backs.

Even with Keith Earls missing the middle three have been on top form for Leinster this year and the two strong running wingers in Tommy Bowe & Andrew Trimble will provide real potential.

An Ireland win today won't make up for the World Cup, but it will go a long way.

So DTD went to 24 hours after the weather closed in, keeping the restaurant open to give butties and coffees to the clientele, well done to them.

Cue all the mobile phone calls.

"Sorry love the weather has made travel home impossible" trying to keep joy out of voice
"What will you do" concerned spouse
"Oh it will be tough but I am sure I will find something" with a grin of Cheshire Cat proportions.
