There is an announcement on APAT tonight at 8pm. The tension mounts, what could this be?

Phil TC is about to move to India to open an APAT call centre
The Stockton Cock won a race
The Stockton Rock is moving to Cannes to become a Michelin Starred Chef
Stockton is getting City status.

Or maybe it"s not even about The Massive..........

This is exciting..  8)

running or poker? both are highly unlikely.

After last nights run good I think a trip up the Wirral peninsula is in order. So it's off to the G in New Brighton for their £20 1RA. Nice cardroom and the fight is being shown.

As always there is Blackjack if I bust early.  ;D ;D

New Brighton wasn't much to write about really. It started with a field of about 30 and as cards go it was pretty much wait and see. Aggression is the name of the game here with 10x raises normal. So it's all about patience of which I have little. I doubled my starting stack early when I turned a straight and rivered a flush against another turned straight. Lost that advantage set against set then went out with KK on a 9 high flop (2 hearts) when the flush draw called my shove and hit.

Played cash while I waited for the Wee Man & Carl to finish up and spun £100 up to £200 then back again when my QQ was no match for 44. When the two lads were out I was up the princely sum of £10. If I did not have to leave then, bad as I am, I was confident that I would have got it back.

Topsey turvey fun in what is not a bad structured tournament but full of gung ho patrons. Good if you hold when ahead, but frustrating if they hit and say silly things like "trapped ya" LOL

Being where it is, it is very vocal. But funnily enough the words out of their mouths as they talked up their game did not remotely match the way they were playing.

Oh and they were to show the fight but had trouble with the subscription, it eventually came on 1 minute before the fight was stopped, perfect timing :)

The Joker rule in the World Speedway backfired spectactularly with riders slowing down to make sure they could play it.

Never liked it anyway  8)

OK ready for the great trek south. Braving the elements, dodging the rally car drivers on the M1.

Yes I am off to Enfield for a few days of work.. Uncle Don has some ideas for a meet up - sounds good to me if I have the time....

Have hit the premier inn in Enfield. Bag dropped, quick shower and off to the bar next door.
