You train for years, you punish your body way past limits that you should. You sacrifice all for your chosen sport so you can achieve greatness.

Then when you achieve that greatness all you can say is "Can't believe what"s just happened" WTF

I fail to see the point of that new generic beer advert. You know the one with the BBQ and a fella getting to know his girlfriend's dad. 5 major breweries have funded this waste of time. I gather that it is supposed to rekindle our love for beer, but because it is non specific I think it fails miserably.

JP has a lot to answer for....

I know it is always cruel, often demoniac, definitely evil, frequently fiendish, horribly heinous, damn hellish, indisputably infernal, seriously satanic, along with being vicious and vile. But hey it's a home from home, I am off to the aquarium..

OK so I did my bit to avoid 3 points on my licence and attended a speed awareness course in Runcorn. I rustled up on time (without breaking the speed limit) and the room where it was being held was fecking melting. Anyway after showing ID, the child that was presenting asked the first question.

"Who is here primarily to avoid the points?"

Cue my hand being the only hand to go up. The scene was set for the other 23 sanctimonious little liars to proceed to say loudly and often during the whole course that their eyes have been really opened and they would be model drivers for the rest of their lives.

Was I the only honest fecker there?

My best answer of the day however was to the question.

"Observationally, at what point do you usually realise that you are breaking the speed limit?"
"When I see blue lights in my mirror"

Priceless.......

I did a speed course a few years ago and also put my hand up saying I was there to avoid the points.

As did this one guy who also expanded on his answer to say he didn"t think the camera was working so wasn"t bothered about the speed limit on the M1.

The lady says ""Why on earth didn"t you think the camera was working?""

To which he replied ""I"d only installed it three days prior and usually they take about two weeks to switch "em on""

There are very few things that can ever compare to being selected to represent your country at something. It is an honour that I do not take lightly and will be relishing every minute of it.
