Good day for France. With home advantage, I think they are likely to push Ireland into 2nd place this year, though the top two places could well be reversed next year when Ireland are at home. Then roll on the World Cup.

One of the problems we did not confront successfully was how to generate more speed in the game. Almost any ball released from the breakdown was painfully slow. The opposition could rearrange their defense, read a couple of chapters of War and Peace, have a cup of tea and sing the first act of La Traviata before we released the fecking ball.

must do better

Have to agree. How many times does the inferior team hang on fairly closely for 60 minutes, only to be battered towards the end when the physical effort required to compensate just becomes too much? Ireland failed to knacker out Italy as they should. Eating up time and allowing the other team opportunities to recover their strength is a mistake for the supposedly better team imo. Definitely shouldn"t do that against England, a team so unfit that they failed to score anything at all in the entire second half of two of their last three (and three of their last twelve) matches. Still, I"ll be pleasantly surprised if Ireland win the decider against France this weekend.

So burglary is down 54% since 1997.

Is it because we have improved security measures in the home?
Is it because the poilice are more efficient?
Is it because the thieves are becoming more moral?

No!

It"s cheaper electronic goods from China and the Far East that is forcing thieves to re-think what items are worth taking. Burglary followed a business model and it was possible to break into a house and steal a video recorder and sell that at a profit. Now prices of such goods has fallen so low as to they almost have no resale value.

I knew it wasn"t the boys in blue as I can"t remember the last time I saw one walking anywhere in this neighbourhood.  ::)

Apparently mugging is more profitable (Mobile phones etc)

A strange phenomenon occurs daily outside of my workplace. A car will draw up with a male at the wheel and a female in the passenger seat.

The car pulls up the man gets out, the woman gets out, they meet at the back of the car and a quick peck on the cheek occurs.

Then the man proceeds into work and the woman gets in behind the wheel and drives off. At close of business the reverse occurs. The woman drives up gets out and goes into the passenger seat, the male gets in the driver seat and heads off.

FFS do you not trust the girl, you must do if you let her have the car for the day, or do you not care as long as you are not in the car when she's driving.

Trust is a dying commodity and such a fragile thing.......

Maybe it"s romance

Maybe they do everything together and share everything

So one of them can"t drive somewhere - they have to drive there

OK then why can"t SHE drive to drop him off - pick him up and SHE drives home, that was the point of the post, not their perceived togetherness

You have to laugh at the MP"s expense scandal,

1) they are being asked to pay back £1.3 million after the review by Sir Thomas Legg

2) Cost of said review £1.16 million

So at least that"s a profit then  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Latest update is that the new "commission" to oversee the expenses is going to cost per year more than the MP"s have been asked to pay back over the last 3 years.

economics was never my strong point but DOH!!!! so possible break even in 3 years and then when the politicians are behaving themselves it will cost 3 times as much to stop then cheating per year. GGWP

So Valentine's cards have been banned in a primary school and any found will be confiscated. Allegedly this is because the Head teacher believes that under 11's are too immature to handle the concept of love.

Be more to the point if he concentrated on confiscating the knives and AK47's and considering the theory behind the condom machines in the toilets.
