Setting the disappointment aside from those teams who we just simply couldn"t accommodate within the 30 teams limit for this event, we are pleased however to announce that we have negotiated with Grosvenor G Casino Manchester to add 2 extra tables to the event - and although we could select a 31st and 32nd team, we felt it more appropriate that in association with our sponsors Coral, an online team qualifying event will be held for teams who have not already secured a place to compete against each other for the final, additional 31st and 32nd team places.

Keeping to the same format as the UK Team Championship, teams of 8 will play in a £20+£2 MTT where the top 100 players will earn points on the following scale:

1st 100 pts; 2nd 99 pts; ..... down to 100th 1 pt

For those team members who have an account associated with our relationship with the sponsors Coral - ie affiliated with APAT/Coral, each team member will be awarded 2 pts immediately at the start of the event which will be in addition to any points won for their team from their event finishing position.

Exact details of the event will be confirmed next week, but to get signed up now then simply download an APAT/Coral account by clicking HERE and get a head start for your team...

The full schedule of events over the weekend of 29th/30th Nov 2014 is as follows:

Sat 29th Nov:

14:30-02:15 Main Event: APAT UK Team Championship (NLHE) (Day 1) £50+£5 per person

20:00- APAT NLHE Side Event - £25+£5

Sun 30th Nov:

12:00- Main Event: APAT UK Team Championship (Day 2) (completion expected 22:00-23:00)

13:00-APAT PLO Side Event - £25+£5 (completion expected 22:00-23:00)

and we are pleased to confirm the following 30 teams will compete (along with the 31st and 32nd teams who win entry via the online qualifier) for the UK Team Championship:

Coral Poker (Jon Riley)
APAT (Glenn Laming)
Live Pub Poker League (Steve Bradbury)
Scot Squad (Bryan Cameron)
Sutton Poker (Paul Pitchford)
Chezger (Ger Smyth)
Edgeware Cricket Club (Brian Frew)
FISO (Philip - Spirey)
KC Club Swindon (Tim Wright)
Voyage In Poker (Kevin Bloor)
Yorkshire Poker Club (Wayne Parker)
London Poker Meetup (Matt Carter)
Kracked Kings (Steve Johnson)
Midlands Poker Forum (Dave Allan)
Blackbelt Illuminati (Jon Laight)
Newcastle Poker Forum (Dave Collins)
BCPC (Steve Redfern)
Degens Poker (Rich Baker)
Frome Poker Group (Stuart Greenan)
Hetton Social Poker (Gary Roberts)
LBPN (Lee Barrett)
North East Poker Forum (Lee Blood)
Blonde Poker (Malcolm Gorse)
A World Of Poker (Rick Gilby)
Sky Hitsquad (Dave Harvey)
The Hendon Mob Forum (Gary Peniket)
GNF (John Patten)
BSWPMG (Dan Bradbury)
Blue Blood (Carl Pilgrim)
Lucky Squad (Paul Harrison)

Welcome and many thanks to Glenn Lamming for accepting to Captain Team APAT, I"m sure Glenn will post separately inviting members to come forward, but maybe he"d like to consider asking his brother Danny whose recent great run at WSOP can be read about HERE and Hendon Mob entry HERE - as this is an open event maybe he"ll come along...

And many thanks to Steve Bradbury for accepting to Captain Team Live Pub Poker League - Steve led the charge for the recent few years of LPPL player success with his WSOP Final Table finish back in 2009, which you can view his winning profile HERE

I will be in touch with Team Captains next week with the finer details, including how to pay the entry fee of £440 (which is being paid in advance via Team Captains) and if they wish to order the subsidised team polo shirts with the event (and if need be the team) branding/logo and player names.

If any Team Captains have any questions or want to contact me then please do so by email direct to tom@apat.com or PM me HERE.

We look forward to welcoming you in Manchester.

Delighted to have been given the opportunity to captain team APAT. Looking at the list of teams entered there"s plenty of value in this event  ;D ;D ;D so i"m very confident of a great showing by the team and we will be going all out for the win.

I"ll put a post up in the morning to invite applications and hope to be given a few headaches in terms of team selection. My aim is to put out a highly competitive team who will play in the APAT spirit and I"ll give more detail tomorrow.

Those of you who are playing for other teams had better watch out. I can feel a few side bets coming on as I have a great feeing that this will be a great event for team APAT.

This is going to be fun..........

On a personal note, absolutely gutted.  Would have loved to have been involved in taking The Pokeriety team to play in the APAT Team event back in Manchester.

Never easy when the event is always so oversubscribed.  Congratulations to those teams that have been selected.  Make sure you enjoy the weekend.  Always the best one on the calendar.

Very pleased for Glenn.  One of the good guys and deserves the honour of captaining the APAT team.  GL Sir.

Yea, pretty gutted also that ITM has been removed after a two year stint. I know it"s tenuous as we r a somewhat dormant podcast and not a proper poker group, but after seeing the list of entries it"s "seems" more little homegames are creeping in.

Never mind. Let"s hope these new ones turn up on the Friday and stay till yen end of Sunday and support all of the APAT games that weekend. :)

Im guessing the £20+2 for the "qualifier" covers the 2 x winning teams entry fee??

I"d assume that"s £20 per team. I have to say £176 per team seems hugely excessive for an online qualifier where there"s no guarantee that there won"t be a software update midway through

Team LBPN are delighted to be part of this nationally recognised event yet again (although this time we earnt our place via the online team event earlier on in the year)! This is also considered home turf for us, so we"re looking to take full advantage of that and hopefully achieve our best finish to date! GL to all selected teams, see you in November.....the count down is on!!!
