That pokerhoney is mary isn"t it. I thought she was pretty tight.

I"m still riding high with 22K, mainly down to luck and a cardrush rather than skill.

Again its bad play rewarded getting me there

blinds 200/400, i pick up 1010 in MP and openraise to 1300, jack (technolol) calls in SB

flop of low cards, 8 hi rainbow, jack checks, i fire out 2K and jack reraises allin. Despite my read on jack being that he wouldn"t bluff there or indeed overplay a hand I was beating, I still call. He has a cunningly played AA which is rewarded with a 10 on the turn to give me a set and felt him.

ul jack

Wow, good post Rob! It almost makes me sound like I know what I"m doing :D

I don"t think you did anything wrong. I think all the chips were going in on that flop one way or another.

Managed to survive until the last 5. Mostly even in terms of stack sizes. Blinds 1500/3000. Then the following hand happens:

I have  9h 9s and raise 3xBB and get 1 caller

Flop  8c 9d ts

I make a pot size bet of 9k

Opponent goes allin for another 60k

I figure even if i"m behind I have outs and call.

Opponent turns over  ac jh and hits the  qh on the river. :(

I think this person may well have gone on to win, but not sure.

What a marathon!

By some fluke I managed to hold on to get Siver, my second and 7th medal overall.

I had a couple of pieces of luck to get to the final table, but once there I found my self with the chip leader to my left, so I could not play any marginal hands or try much stealing, knowing he had me covered. I managed to keep enough blinds in hand to survive while everyone else tried to take on the chip leader. By the time we were heads up he was so far ahead that I would need plenty of my legendary luck to come back, and for a while I had hope when a Q hit on the turn only for him to hit his ace on the river.

A good tournament with some good poker played.
It's only a Game

I could list my APAT achievements here, but I am too modest, and there isn't enough space

Only just recovered! At my age it takes time to recuperate from late nights.

1st APAT/Blue Sq game ive played  after my outing to Luton (which was good laugh also),seems pretty good site with best hands holding up a lot more than some site"s.

And none of the usual abusing idiots you normally get online, made a refreshing change to play with decent people.

I did see a couple of strange moves but overall it was very good quality game, what"s the score with the medals ? they get posted out ?
