hi Tom,

i deposited £40 yesterday to cover the 2 tournys and to play some small cash to get used to the site beforehand. I still cannot log into the site so like John i have the same problem withdrawing what is left and any refund.

its very annoying, i support most apat online comps and reluctantly deposited to yet another new site thinking there must not be an issue with uk players as it is sponsoring apat who are inviting us to play. I managed 2 3/4 hours of play before there was a problem and was sitting very well in the omaha and pretty ok in the main. the fact i finished 4th and 10th respectively after blinding down shows this.
i think Bwin should investigate the matter and explain how this happened and assure us they have resolved the problem before we use the site again for comps. I also feel i and others affected by this should recieve our buy ins back and a adequate good will payment from the site.

Sorry to moan on to you Tom but i have refrained from emailling them myself as i knew you were on the case. if you feel it would be better for us to contact them direct then please let us know.

many thanks

Paul

With regards to withdrawing from bwin.

You should be able to go to the sports betting site. Your poker balance should be synced with this site and withdrawals should be routine........., I think???!

Yep
Very disappointing site.
I also deposited money into this site with the soul purpose of suporting APAT events and the continous freezing and closing down of everything was annoying. This also closed my internet which was live streaming a sports event from Europe.
A transfer of funds back to my PayPal is the minimum that could be expected.
Compensation should be considered.
Thank you

Any update from your Bwin contact Tom?

I have... but I"m not happy. My contact is not available this week, but his colleague got back to me.
But they only wanted to give a partial refund, which is not fine by me.

I"m only satisfied when I get you guys a full refund... and I have made that clear to them.

Please bare with me for a short while. I did also ask for the contact for the UK Manager, so that we can talk to him personally. I want to know what the software problem is, because obviously there is something wrong.

Thank you for patience guys; but you can be sure I won"t let this go!

I reloaded and updated Java yet again and tried to log into a game on Bwin.... After four attempts and over 30 minutes I was finally able to start playing again on Bwin. I tried this last night but to no avail but as I say it eventually worked tonight.

OK guys,

BWIN will fully refund the buyin(s)!
An extra compensation is not possible since no one knows what might have happened if you were active. This is pretty normal compared to what other rooms do in a situation like this.

They didn"t have any other reports (yet) from crashes last Sunday, but they will look into it further.

There might be a problem with Java if it"s not updated, plus if you have an older Internet Explorer, that might cause a problem as well. With Google Chrome everything should work perfectly.

As for people wanting to cash out, please try installing Google Chrome (Chrome is much better than IE anyway) and updating JAVA after that... and try downloading the BWIN software again. It should work perfectly...

Please let me know if the problems still exist after this...
And thanks again for your support!!

When I download the client, I can never get this to work and it keeps freezing.  So I have to log into the Bwin website and choose the "Play instantly" option under the poker tab.  On Sunday it took me about 2 hours to register because the client kept freezing.  I know you guys are doing your best, but the user experience on Bwin leaves a lot to be desired.

Hi Tom,

I Appreciate your efforts in resolving the problems, thank you.

I have google chrome on my desktop and my Java is fully up to date but the problem still occurred. I don"t understand that it can work perfectly for nearly 3hours then suddenly crash and not work again. I would need a better explanation than what is being given by Bwin before trusting that the problem will not occur again mid tournament.

As for the policy regards refund and compensation, I understand that nobody knows what might have happened if I was active (blown up no doubt lol) and I realise this is what most other rooms would offer but in the circumstance I don"t think it would have hurt them to offer a couple of free tournament tickets as compensation for us to use to gain our confidence in the software again. The cost to them would be minimal and obviously would be good for their PR.

Anyway I will once again try to get on to my account later and see if i have received the refund.

Thanks

I didn"t realise they had a play instantly option through your browser! Could I have attempted to log in through this Sunday and continued the tournaments I was playing?

Tom, I have Googe Chrome and Java is up to date. I found it horrendously difficult to find the tournament but got there eventually. I understand the refunds policy - a bit annoying when I was really well stacked in the 700+ runner $5 tournament. If that one has also been refunded and I have £50 in my account, I"ll be satisfied. Thanks for your efforts.

I would like to play on the site again following my experience in the $5. I"m sure your APAT players are different, but the calls I was getting were scary. Must be similar to what it was like to play years ago.
