How is the winning club decided in the National League final? Is it the club the individual winner belongs to or are points awarded for places 1 to 9 as in the fortnightly constituent events?

Jack,

It"s based on the 1 to 9 system, with the winning team coming from the Southern Division, obviously.   ;D

Leigh

Leigh, can you remind me how the Welsh did in the Euro championships again.  ;)

Ohhh, cruel, Stuart, cruel......

Doesn"t matter about that.

I reckon that I have about half of the top 20 players from Season 2 in the Southern Division.  Bring It On.    ;D

It does say on the briefing that Cardiff is subject to confirmation, so there may be scope to change the date.
However, if the date is set in stone cant then I"m sure there is enough demand that both events can run at the same time.

With Sky Poker, APAT, Virgin and PokerPlayer (probably) tours all running in 2009 there will inevitably be clashes in the amateur calendar.

And the dates for the Nationals have been arranged for the last couple of months. Its the finer points of the contract negotiations that have taken the time to arrange, and ultimately publish.

The date clash is just unfortunate.....

Well done to Des and APAT. Loving the increased online buy in for some events, and the HORSE event. The online events look to have a better calender to me, with a greater prospect of retaining numbers throughout the season. Hope the DTD main event has only a single start date, as despite that I think they could cater for all the demand APAT will bring. The capacity of the place is c. 500 I believe, would there be more demand than that?

I"ve never been tempted to play all the APAT events god sends down to the calender, but this schedule has the best chance yet of rousing me to make an impact on the leaderboard!

As for the regionals, I can"t say I ever played one, but I think they, more than anything else APAT offers, handicapped people by location. So I"m not sorry to see them go tbh.

Is it possible to give any timescale for when any of the uncomfirmed venues/dates will be confirmed?

Most of the business teams are away over Christmas so we will get to finalising those early in the new year.  It was pressing to get the bulk of the announcement out prior to the end of the year.
