I've got a question about the national league. Forgive me if this has been answered somewhere else on the forum but I've not come across it. When the national league starts on feb 1st is it possible that someone that's never heard of the APAT league on blue square could be casually looking for a tounament to play in and come across the league, play even though they've not registered for one of the APAT poker clubs. Is there anything in the software (eg passwords, a prompt to 1st join a club etc) that makes sure only registered league players play.

I think it"s been covered somewhere, but I can"t find it (so much to read, so little time.....), I believe the plan is to password protect the entry.

Looks good overall, although shame no live qualifying for National events available this season, as I think this assisted many live only players to participate and also helped intro some new players to live play.

With a few of the national events having a TBC next to the venue. How likely are the current venues? And are the dates set in stone?

I"m mainly thinking of the Worlds at DTD.

Is it possible to give any timescale for when any of the uncomfirmed venues/dates will be confirmed?

Most of the business teams are away over Christmas so we will get to finalising those early in the new year.  It was pressing to get the bulk of the announcement out prior to the end of the year.

I would think they are as definite as they can be.  Hopefully Des will finalise next week.

He"ll get back to you at the end of the week.  Which week, we don"t know unfortunately...

Hi all at APAT .... Happy New 2009 to you all  .... and to all fellow players.
Hope its a lucky one for you all.

Was just wondering if there was any chance of the UK Team Event in Manchester being changed? In an earlier post, you advised this may be rescheduled until Jan 2010?!

Team TimeForPoker would struggle to get a full 10 squad team at this time of year, which would be really gutting if we couldnt make it.

Yep it is definitely a possibility but we have a couple of months prior to needing to worry unduly about this event.  Will advise later Laura.

Cheers,

Des.

I have to say that I am a little dissapointed with season 3.  Since joining APAT mid way through season 1 I have really enjoyed taking part in the live regional qualifiers, and so am saddened to find that they will now only take place online.  As I am one half of a poker playing couple, in a one computer household one of us is always going to miss out on playing the online events.

It seems that this season is not very "couples friendly" and unfortunately our participation in the APAT events will be greatly reduced this seasons because of this. :(

The reasons why there are no regional live events have already been stated on the forum.
Whilst they may not have been perfect last year, they will be missed.
Hopefully they will be back next year, if slightly revamped.

I am sorry but I have not had time to read through all the posts so am not aware of the reasons.

If you had another PC, the two-accounts-in-one-house problem can be got around by contacting Customer Support. I know Mair and Stan can play OK.

Hi Rachel,

Regionals; in a slightly different format, were very much part of APAT's proposal to Blue Square for Season Three, but unfortunately due to the current economic climate, budgets were cut back and something had to give.  As a result the Regionals have been rested for a year.  APAT very much hope to bring them back next year.  Lee and yourself should be able to get into the Nationals via the clickfest if the Online events are going to be troublesome, particularly as all of the seats that were typically given to Regional events will now be sold instead.  That said, take a look at Mair"s email above and contact Blue Square if this appeals.

Regards,

Des.
