Hope they can sort out this qualifying. There should be more saterlites as the lottery is unfair . also all our aliases will be different???? i preferred pokerstars at least we new each other!

i am relying on the clickfest too

but as i am useless online i would struggle to quailfy online anyway

hoping there is still 250+ seats left

What lottery?

A ballot is a lottery, first come first serve by clicking a payment option is just the way every online poker tournament is registered and the same principle (first come first serve) that almost every live tournament allocates most of their seats.

Statistically satellites are poor value for money, I would hope for as many seats as possible by a "clickfest".

I"m with you Jon.

Personally, I"d like to see no on line qualifiers for the live events, however, I do understand the sponsors point of view.

I hope that the structure of future online events is better (I"m sure it"s in the briefing somewhere) because the Satellite for European is HORRIBLE.

10 minute levels!...We"re an hour in (break just started) and it"s already a shove-fest.

I shan"t comment on the BlueSquare software....I could....but I"d get a ban.

I agree, with about 2/3 of the field left the average stack was short stacked.

Although I completely back APAt"s judgement that the live events are the core of APAts events it is a shame that Blue Sqaure have such poor software - this is the reason why I stopped playing on there to start with.

If APAt can influence such things it would serve Blue Square and APAt so much benefit if they could change there software to something which provides better structures.

Some people can not afford direct buy-in, so the satellites is the only way thy can play live

We can and will influence the structure of the next APAT event at Blue Square.  Tonight is providing a number of learnings and we will do our utmost to work with the team at Blue Square to make things a little more "APAT friendly" in future.

I agree..and that"s why the satellites do have their place.

Leaving the software aside...which is a personal niggle...it"s just the blind structure that has me disappointed. APAT is all about promoting PLAY, this leaves little to be desired.

IMHO that is.  ;D

{EDIT}...something has been posted as I typed. I just needed to vent a little, Des.

BTW..."Learnings"...is that a word? :D

Don"t get me wrong I think there is a place for satellites, but bear in mind if you have the average skill level (something that not all of us can be sure of :) ) you have an 87.5% chance of NOT getting a seat, it would take 5 satellites before you are even in a 50:50 situation.

This is why I don"t really like satellites in general - but I"m willing to concede that it might just be my prejudice.

This is a good thing, I would have mentioned this quicker but because I was typing the other post I accidently called a bet instead of folding, so I was - er - well sulking for a minute. I"m over it now. Good - arrrgh - just folded instead of going all in.
