WCOAP staking...with a difference.... One year on
« on: January 19, 2015, 22:53:53 PM »
As with last season, I"m putting up a % of my action in the WCOAP. The only major difference is that this will include the Coventry event as well, as this year, I can"t play as much as I"d like in the worlds.

Proposed schedule:

Coventry                 £110 PAID

WCOAP 6 max           £55 PAID
          Shootout        £55 PAID
Crazy Pineapple         £55 PAID
Main event day 1a    £110 PAID
HORSE                     £55 PAID

Total buy ins are £440, and for ease, will make this a stake of £450.

Therefore, 10% is £45 etc etc.

Any events not being played, will be refunded to the stake.

This is my mark up!!

Hey all, most of you know me as the fat ginger that gets lucky and takes most of your chips, I can live with that.
Others as Bane from Team Gotham!
I am hoping to change that and just be the ginger that gets lucky and takes most of your chips.
I have been giving a chance to fulfil a dream and run in the 2014 Virgin Money London Marathon.
I have been given a place by www.action.org.uk please visit their website to see the incredible work that they do as my words will not do them justice.
Obviously this blog is primarily to raise money for Action, I truly believe that they are a worthy cause.
My just giving page is http://www.virginmoneygiving.com/DwayneStacey both I and Action would be extremely grateful for any donations.

Obviously that is last years post, shameless copied and pasted. He"s doing the 2015 marathon for the same cause, so will support him in the same way.

I"m very supportive of Dwayne in this cause, and for the "mark up", 10% of the total cashes that are made will be sent to the above charity ( anything below £50, I will personally make up, therefore if I cash for nothing, I will put in the £50), anything over, the charity gets a bonus. The 10% will come out for the charity, the 1% to APAT, and the rest divided as per the staking, ie, I will get 50%, the rest divided by whatever stake people have.

Payments will need to be by bank transfer or cash ( preferably in Coventry), so that I can buy in in advance online.

20% of this stake has already been reserved, and will allow between 30 and 50% more.

Thanks in advance

Needless to say no cash in Coventry.

Will do a proper report once I have a bit more time, but a quick one.. managed to get down to 6k in level 2, back up to starting stack, lost quite a lot with AK, then got the last of it in with KK, which lost to A3, A on the river

For heads up, I"ve already prepaid the £50 to the charity.

As for the 6 max, sitting on half starting stack after missing 2 straight flush draws....

Apologies to all, really thought I"d updated this!

6 max - in 3 hands running, missed 2 straight flush draws then ran pair into overpair!

Shootout - got to the last 3 on my table really comfortably, then when 3 handed, my best hand for 35 mins was 96os. Yep, didn"t see a picture card at all! I then saw 65 suited, down to 10bbs, and got it all in pre against AK and missed.

Pineapple - Had a great start and had basically doubled my stack. Then had AAK pre, raised pre and called in 4 spots. Flop was 10 8 5 rainbow, got it all in vs someone who"d called pre with x85, and it held.

Main event - It"s fair to say I had a massive rush of hands early, and had built to approx 28k by level 3. One hand cost me upwards of 16k. I"d raised  8h Jh from mid/late position, and was called from the button and bb. Flop was a delicious 88K, my c bet was 3 bet by the button, and called by both. I decided to let the button be the aggressor, checked the Q turn, and we both called the turn bet. The river was a complete brick, again I checked behind the bb, with the button putting in a big river bet.We both called, and I was confident I was ahead. The button turned over pocket 10"s, the bb Q8. Next hand I lose JJ v 75 and I"m under 10k. Again, I build this up back towards starting stack, and get moved tables. I then lose a fair few chips with a medium pair, and get v short, and lose the last of my chips ( can"t remember what I shoved with but ran into the monster that is Q7)

HORSE - to put the event simply, I ran the 2nd best hand into the best hand about 12 times!
