I"d like to confirm three "local" captaincy appointments ahead of the World Amateur Team Championship.
Frank Bailie will once again captain the Ireland team in London and he will look to build upon his Gold medal campaigns at the European Amateur Team Championship in 2012 and the UK Home International Team Championship in 2013.
Tom Clark will step up to captain Scotland for the first time at WCOAP15. Tom was a member of the victorious Scottish team at the UK Home International Championship of 2012 and a member of the team who secured bronze at the European Amateur Team Championship held in Prague in 2013.
Chris Hiam will captain the England team. This will be Chris" first international experience, but he is a well respected long term APAT member, who has the attributes to bring together a team capable of challenging for the world title they held in 2013.
An announcement will be made about the Welsh captaincy in the near future (aka soon).
Please join me in congratulating the above and wishing them the best of luck in WCOAP event #11, the prestigious World Amateur Team Championship.
