Okay, none of us have her in our team, but what does that matter?

Ms.Weisner was registering in the booth next to me when I reg"d for the Seniors. i can report that they/she are/is as impressive in real life as this picture suggests.

Day 4 started with 94-year-old William Wachter, who is still in the tournament, being introduced to the crowd and getting a big round of applause. The pleasantries continued with William being asked if he would like to address a few words to the other players. Wachter isn"t one for sycophancy: "I didn"t come here to lose" probably wasn"t the speech they were expecting.

Four hours into Day 4 and we are down to 450, with almost a third of the starting field eliminated.

We have lost our three players with the fewest chips at the start of the day:

565 Duhamel
605 Bjorin
625 Kitai

To be frank, our remaining seven will need to give themselves a good shake if they are going to get anywhere near the final table and change the outcome of the league.

Bonomo has fallen off the pace and is languishing down in 166th, but is still our second-highest player. Glantz is our best-placed in 55th and the rest don"t deserve to be discussed, such has been their pitiful performance today.

Also eliminated today were Shane Warne in 597th place and Beppe off EastEnders in 649th. That poor guy is destined to be known for the rest of his life as Beppe from EastEnders, no matter what else he may do over his remaining years.

William Wachter did lose after all, though his 524th place was higher than these two losers or the three losers already knocked out from our teams.

Warne seems to be replacing the pounds he lost during his Liz Hurley period.

George Danzer eliminated in 280th place.. So it now all depends on Mr Cody? Otherwise Steve has bragging rights for 2015?

Event #68: No-Limit Hold'em MAIN EVENT - Day 4

237 players left.
Danzer & McCorkell are out.

Four march on:

32   1.335m   Negreanu

Which means we still can"t put this damn competition to bed. The top three, Steve, Tom and Carl will stay in that sequence no matter what happens. Barrie is the wildcard - if Cody gets to  the final table, he will leapfrog everyone and win the league. If Negreanu gets there, and Cody doesn"t, he will overtake Carl for third. In fact, from nowhere, George would draw level with Carl as joint fourth.

A lot of people have Negreanu and can still pick up some extra points. Paxo still has Cody, along with Negreanu, and Gareth, unbelievably, still has three players going, with Glantz, Bonomo and Negreanu.

The other aspect of interest to some is the race to avoid coming last. Suzanne has Cody and Bonomo is her Captain. Neither of them has done much to repay her faith in them in the Series so far. Maybe this is the time. I have no players left to help hold her off.

Ok peeps we have finally got all the money in the kitty £230.

As most of you have replied to your PM the general consensus is that the majority of you prefer to spread the love so to speak.. So a decision has been made to award cash for top 3!! as follows.

1. £130 + APAT National seat.. and more importantly BRAGGING RIGHTS!!

2. £70 + kudos for not being quite as clever as first place.

3. £30 + Kudos for better than 20 other not quite so good as 1+2

Hope you are all happy with this.
