Pat and Connie your hats are both very welcome. It"s going to be very tough picking just four players.

Hi Len
I"d love to play in this. Finished 6th in the APAT Dublin event 2007.

Hi Len

Sorry to be a pain, but I was just wondering if I was on your shortlist for the Irish team. The last I heard you told me that youd get back to me.

Thanks

Col

Indeed I will Col

There"s that little matter of the festival at the Vic. Des getting a list of all the Irish Apat members to me plus contact details, etc etc. I won"t be making my decisions until I have all the information to hand.

Having said that as far as I am aware you are indeed the highest ranked Irish APAT member. If that is still the case after the festival you will automatically be offered a place by me.

As soon as that is confirmed I"ll let you know. But I would say it looks very good for you Col.

Thanks. Snapper might have something to say about that but with a few events left, there is still a lot to play for. :)

Ah yes - Having now identified that Snapper is John Murray and that he is four points ahead of you I guess he would have something to say LOL.

You are both very much in the running.

My feeling is that loyalty to APAT should also count in terms of team selection.

Are either of you playing any of the events at the festival?

I am unable to, but I know John is playing the main event.

I am hoping to play the remaining on-line games, 4 remain and are scheduled to take place in the next couple of weeks.

The challenges of international event management!  Snapper is Brendan Byrne, who made the FT of the Irish Amateur event in 2007.  John Murray is MintTrav.

Thought I was Coprey - gosh this is confusing.

Anyway, I have carefully reviewed the photos and have come to the unbiased conclusion that the seat has to go to me cos I have more chips!!

Good luck with the Onlines, Colin (not too much).

John,

I thought you were Jack something or other ?

This is confusing and this is just one of the teams.

Yeah Leigh, I started as Jack1 but when I tried to play under that name, it inexpicably seemed to be taken already on almost every site. I then spent ages trying other names (Jack2, for example...........) but no luck, so I made up this one and, surprisingly (!), no-one else had taken it. I"m using this on any site I play, so I thought I may as well change my name on here so people could recognise that it is the same person and continue their abuse here if they wish.

Apologies John and Brendan for the confusion. I mis-clicked on the Hendon Mob Database - Was in Manchester yesterday on Business and only got back to this today.

However are you interested in playing for the team John? And can I throw your hat into the ring?

All makes sense then.  Murray Mint ?     Not sure about the Trav bit though  ???
