RAZZ
« on: August 05, 2007, 22:00:05 PM »
I"m trying to do a bit of research before wednesday and I was wondering

a) Does a flush beat a straight in Razz?
b) Are cowboy hats compulsory?

a) flushes and straights don"t count at all
b) I believe so

Thanks for clarifying that. Until this morning, I thought Razz was a top-shelf magazine. Oh well, you learn something new everyday.

In all seriousness, congratulations to Jon for what he achieved in Vegas. At least there"s 2nd and 3rd place to play for on wednesday.

Thanks - but seriously, how many times do number 1 seeds actually win the games they"re expected to. I expect an anti-climatic middling finish for me.

I"m expecting big things from my, ahem, 1 day"s worth of experience playing Razz. My only consolation is that I"m marginally better at it than I am at Omaha and I"ve been shocking in the APAt hold"em events I"ve played so anything other than an early exit will be a bonus!

There is a cash Omaha regular on Stars (.10/.25) who goes by the name Roger Federaise or something very similar. Cool name.
Looking forward to Razz on Weds, as hopefully I"ll have no donkeys chasing flushes to knock me out!

No they"ll be chasing 10 lows - and then you"ll hit brick, brick, brick for them to beat you . Not that I"m a pessimist :(

i love razz great game and in a tourniment it will give those with a little knowledge nearly as big an edge as those with a good knowledge but it can be so frustraing when you get dealt 2345353 and lose to a kqj72

dont you just love it when your 543A hand ends up a queen low and you get beaten by a 7th street 8 low
