I hated it.

As I posted last night on social media...

"Sigh.
Would be nice to see a documentary about Las Vegas that focuses on something other than people with gambling problems, hookers and pimps.
Well done Trevor McDonald, you managed to make Las Vegas look like the worst place in the world. What about the shows. What about the things to see and do, like the Bellagio Conservatory, the Wynn. Even the clubs. What about Red Rock Canyon? Even the Railroad Pass casino. The Vegas history?
Vegas is so much more than hookers, gambling addicts and porn slappers, yet people don"t understand this because that"s all they hear about.
I was really hoping that Trevor McDonald, the legend that he is, would be able to see past this. I"m so disappointed he hasn"t.

I believe next week"s episode is going to be spent looking at the mega rich winners - including an in depth interview with Antonio Esfandiari.

Think Antonio will mention how much he actually gets to keep of his winnings?

Very disappointed with Mcdonalds" program. Watched both episodes. Not much about Vegas at all. Not what I expected.

Without wishing to be cruel, Trevor was always a news-reader - i.e. someone who was simply reading the news out loud....

I recall his programmes on the US"s death rows took a sensationalist line rather than one of original journalism that explored both sides of the argument.

Why would we expect anything better in this series on another aspect of the US"s allegedly seedy underside? Trevor takes his pay and reads the script.

I watched the first episode only - that was disappointing enough.
