To Des & Co,

Thanks for a great event, I really played badly (probably the worst play of my life lol) but I had a thoroughly enjoyable day up at The Vic.

Could Say I was unlucky to go out with my AK V AQ with my opponent hitting a Q on the river, but as I live practically on the river :)  I spose I will take the rough with the smooth and I had made some appalling moves against the player earlier at a different table.

Good Luck to all The LPM"ers left in -  one of them will take it down :)

Once again great event, thoroughly enjoyable and a good bunch - will definitey be suggesting that my London Pub Poker players join APAT for next years events.

Cheers

Steve

This place is packed tonight

The card-room  takes up the whole top floor of the Vic, and we have 8 tournament tables remaining. Elswehere a load of cash games are underway, with the likes of Willie Tann, Kevin O"Leary and Jeff Duval sitting behind big piles of cash chips

Waiting lists are enormous, 20 deep in some cases, and the place buzzes with poker chatter and riffling chips

Sadly I have to drive home later, a poor piece of planning by me. Still, it would probably save me getting eaten alive by the cash game sharks

Paul Garnham made a great laydown a few moments ago

In a raised pot he held 99 against two opponents

the flop came Q J 9

The first opponent, quite short-stacked went all in, Paul called and the third player pushed all in right over the top

Paul faced a tough decision but passed his trips faced up and was rewarded by seeing the third player holding K 10 for the flopped straight. A lot might have felt priced in to call, and maybe house up

He lives to fight another day
