I"m loving PLO, been reading up on it recently trying to learn a bit about it, tested it out a while back with mixed results but after reading up on it for the past few days I tried my luck on stars tonight and turned $20 into $120 in the 6-max cash games at $0.10/0.25 & $0.25/0.50 levels in the space of 45 mins...

Would"ve definitely played the WCOAP online tourney had I noticed it sooner...

and therein lies the beauty of Omaha - you can turn $20 into $120 in 45 mins...... BUT, just as you think you"ve cracked it, you"d be surprised just how fast you can turn that $120 into negative numbers very quickly!!

I hate the game - it"s responsible for the majority of my cash losses, but I can"t resist having a punt every now and then. Did OK last night in my first ever Omaha tournament - perhaps I should stick to tourneys and avoid cash Omaha.

after watchin the wsop pl omaha championship i have been trying my hand at a few low limit PL Omaha STT games recently (just to learn the game) and have to say i have been quite enjoying it. winning 2 out of 3 might give me an early biased opinion tho. does make a change from holdem. wish i had given the championship one a go last night now.  8)

I like Omaha, most beginners overplay their hole cards, so it can be frustrating, when you have good drawing hands and you are facing raise, re-raise etc. Doyle Brunson"s Super System 2 has a good section on Omaha High. Won my first ever attempt at an Omaha tourney while reading this chapter, and poketed $1,000 for a $10 buy-in.  ;)

 ;D LOL  ;D

Yeah it was ridiculous but fun! Marty Smyth has a bit of class about him, and still plays the smallish tournies around Ireland. Hoping i"ll sit at his table one of these days.

I put that signature there in anticipation of the up-coming International team event in Brighton. :)
