No results overnight, but several events are getting close to the end.

Bonomo is heads-up in #8 - lots of points coming for Suzanne, Luca and Glenn.

There are 24 left in #10 and Holz is currently lying 12th, so can still do it.

#11 is a $10k Championship, so a smaller field of 118. This one is Dealers Choice. They are paying 18 and Hellmuth just missed out, finishing 20th, with Gorodinsky a few places back. There are 17 still going and we still have Smith in 3rd, Owen in 12th and Hastings near the bottom in 16th.

82 left from over 2,000 in #12 PLO. ODB is in 3rd, but we ain"t got no-one else left. Kelly, Parker, Mizrachi and Clements cashed. I also notice there were double-Boatman cashes in this. My girl Loni cashed again ( why did I drop her?). 2016 bracelet-winners Ryan D"Angelo and Robert Mizrachi both cashed; Mizrachi is still in, quite highly placed, as is Chris Ferguson. Isn"t it funny how the same names crop up?

Miles to go in #13 Razz, with over 100 left. The top half of the field seems to mainly be made from our players, so there will be untold amounts of points coming from this one.

Another tough event, with a pro-filled final table. There were six former bracelet-winners in the final, including Andre Akkari, Svetlana Gromenkova and Scotty Nguyen.

It looks to me that Scotty was actually wearing one of his four WSOP bracelets on each wrist.

Ian Johns came back from the brink three times to win his second bracelet ten years after his first. This was his stack at the end of Day 1 and at the end of Day 2:

The tournament has reached the final table of six, which includes Pierre Neuville from last year"s November Nine. None of our players got that far, Fedor Holz dropping in 18th place.

There are some excellent names on the final, Javier Garcirreynaldos (from Spain), for one. There has been substantial emigration from Ireland to Spain at various times in the last 500 years. Surely there was a time during that period when Mr Reynolds and Senorita Garcia got together and ended up constructing this monstrosity of a name. Also in the final six are Tim Cha and my new favourite, Lutz Klinkhammer. Honestly, does the WSOP hold a names committee before each Series to come up with the oddest names it can get away with?

Vinny Pahuja made his fourth cash from the ten tournaments so far this year in this event. Not too bad. In fact, he wouldn"t have played them all - remember he made the final table of #4. Dan Kelly and Michael Mizrachi both made their second cash. They have both gone on to cash for a third time in #12 PLO, but we"ll come to that in due course.

David Vamplew, David Benefield and Shawn Quint (Yes!) also racked up their third cash of this year in #10.

Woohoo good old Justin got me off the starting block :)

Must admit I am getting quite frustrated in the Stakers game. I have done a bit of homework and picked a "team" and worked out who is there and games they are likely to play but the guys I picked keep doing well in other games :(

Is there any way of finding out who might be playing UKIPT Marbella? I would assume a lot of the regulars will be in Vegas.

Up to Event #10, the players who have scored more than one point are:

Player          Points          Wins          FT          Cashes
Justin Bonomo          18          0          1          1
George Danzer          15          0          1          1
Dan Kelly          13          0          1          2
Olivier Busquet          12          0          1          1
Paul Volpe          12          0          1          1
Anthony Zinno          4          0          1          1
Calvin Anderson          4          0          1          1
Adam Owen          3          0          0          3

And the leading selectors:

Selector          Points
Luca          48
Chris          35
Steve          31
Barrie          31
Glenn          31
Carl          30
Simon L          29
Craig          29
Richard          20
Suzanne          19
Dann          15

This doesn"t yet include #2 Colossus, but we didn"t have anyone reach the final table, so it won"t make much difference.

Didn"t you ask a similar question last year and Carl, unbelievably, revealed that he messages the players to get tips for our league? I suggest you adopt a similar approach. Here"s a few to get you started: @phil_hellmuth @MagicAntonio @JasonMercier @Liv_Boeree. Let us know how you get on.

How do you..

a) Know who is going to be there first of all? and

b) Know which players are going to play tournaments in volume?

I look at previous last few years at the top cashes.. Chidwick, Mercier, Danzer etc etc so presume they are going to put a full schedule.. I also message them and politely ask them if they will be playing much. I also ask if they know of a good pick, Chidwick informed me to pick Dylan Linde as he will play most events as they are room sharing. he also cashed on numerous occasions in previous years.

Neymar is in town for the WSOP again this year. Some shots of him playing a Main Event satellite with countrymen Akkari and Ramos. Somehow, Danzer has got mixed up in it too. The skinflints!

Dan Kelly and Michael Mizrachi both made their third cash. How come? They both cashed in #1, the casino employees event. I had overlooked this one as I hadn"t expected that real pro players would be taking part, so I"ll need to go back and add in the points for it. Mizrachi also cashed the Colossus. Incidentally, they have both gone on to cash for a fourth time in #12 PLO, but we"ll come to that in due course.

Hi john. Looks like you"ve missed me out of this one!. I need a point for Dan kelly . ( sorry just seen your points total so it doesn"t matter).
Scott clements also cashed in event #1 along with Dan Kelly and Mike Leah cashed in the collosus..... looking out for my team

Staker event 16 WSOP #16 2-7 Lowball Championship starts tonight. $10,000 championship event

A reminder stakes need to be in for 9pm

Last year Phil Galfond beat Nick Schulman to the bracelet in an event with just 77 entries.

The big man with the bat is fearing some damage to his bank balance with this one!

STAKER - WSOP #9 $10,000 Heads Up No Limit Hold'em Championship

Staker           Staked          Winnings          Profit
Glenn Laming          £6960          £49599          £42639
Charlie Press          £6960          £24756          £17796
Nick Wright          £6960          £18632          £11672
Bill Sheppard          £6690          £12421          £5731
Barrie Cullen          £6960          £12421          £5461
Juan De Diego          £6960          £8560          £1600
Karen Mead          £6960          £2465          £-4495

Congrats to Glenn Laming, who made a major advance on the Staker leaderboard by putting more than half his stake on Olivier Busquet, who finished 4th. Others who cashed in the event did so mainly courtesy of Busquet, though most risked a lesser proportion of their investment on the one player.

Karen had a return due to her investment in Esfandiari, but didn"t make an overall profit on the event as he accounted for a relatively small proportion of her total stake in the tournament.

Full results for #9 are here: http://www.staker.co.uk/leaderboard.asp?t=&e=13

Need some information here....

I have staked our own TODD WOOD in the Millionaire Maker.... Chuffed to see he has made Day 2.
So without knowing how many chips I look for him in the chip counts, and find TOD WOOD, New York..
I check my Staker and see I have entered TODD but used his Facebook profile to find him to place my stake.
Is my stake void as I have spelt his name incorrectly.?
Also, WSOP need to correct their information...

Todd is actually Tod, Bill and he has a Hendon mob profile.  I will sort for you when he wins though, so don"t worry about that.

I wouldn"t hold your breath for that, Bill. They seem to just pick anywhere if they"re not sure. He"s lucky they got it as close as New York. I remember Mark the Shark representing Guatemala a couple of years ago.

As you can see, the Staker competition is being incorporated in this thread, so there is just one WSOP update thread.
I will change the style of the points lists slightly to make it very clear which is which.

#11 has finished, with former pro basketball player, Jean Gaspard taking it down. Originally from Haiti, but now a US citizen, Gaspard likes to be known as Prince.

Prince shared some of his theory “I only play for first place. When I walk into the tournament, I just see what first place pays. I don't even look at anything else. I reach for the sky.” "My mind is where it needs to be. It's almost like I am seeing through their hands." “Everything I did was calculated in advance. I was thinking ten moves ahead. My opponents didn't know that. But that's what I was doing. I was locked in the whole time..I tend to play the tournament out in my head in advance so I can be ready to make my moves. Any situation that comes up, I'm already ready for it.” Basically, the guy is full of crap, especially as he won the tournament with a major suck-out, but isn"t it better to have someone entertaining than some of the robots we see so often?

John Monnette finished third, just a couple of days after finishing 2nd in the 2-7. With three cashes already, he looks ready to overhaul the five he achieved in both 2014 and 2015.
