The Razz was a cracker, with loads of the usual suspects finishing near the top. As well as those named above, regular cashers and finalists Yueqi Zhu, John Racener, Bart Hanson, Robert Mizrachi, Scott Abrams, Matt Grapenthien and Max Kruse also figured in the shake-up. Zhu, who finished third, was also second in the Dealers Choice and has now cashed five times this year (so far). Even Australian Robert Campbell, who only has five WSOP cashes, has reached the final table in three of them, all mixed events.
In the end, it was mostly about Mercier. Long-time chip-leader, it seemed inevitable that he would win another bracelet, his second in three days. But it didn"t happen. He got to heads-up, but Ray Dehkharghani hung tough and managed to take the win.
As nearly everyone has Mercier, there was little impact on our competition, other than for the five who don"t.
