I accidentally gave one point for Hastings instead of twelve.

I"ve given him back the twelve now, reluctantly.

How can you choose someone like him for your team?

I always like to have a famous detective"s sidekick in my team & couldn"t find a suitable Watson, Lewis or Pascoe.

Jon Camsell          £   400          £     582          £     182

Lots more wins for the stakers.

Shirley gave her all to Negreanu again and didn"t regret doing so. Barrie decided to do the same and Daniel didn"t disappoint him either.

Szymon and Iain didn"t commit to Daniel and kept their options open elsewhere, but he still did his best for them.

Graeme, the Richards and Sandy staked Fedor Holz, all except Sandy for 100%, and it worked out well for them all.

Chris had part of his stake on David Vamplew, who also returned a profit for him.

Mercier is crushing again. 1st and 2nd in his last two tournaments, he is chip-leader in #24 HORSE, with 14 left.

Almost everyone still in the event is a major star of mixed games, but Mercier is in incredible form. After a slow start, in the last week, he has become the dominant player of the Series.

Linda Iwaniak Scoops One

Linda Iwaniak raises to 300 preflop from middle position and the player next to her calls. Everyone else folds and action is heads up.

The flop is  Kc Js 2h and Iwaniak bets 400. Her opponent thinks for a short time before calling. While that is happening, a discussion breaks out around the table about how players are seated, as a new player joins the table in Seat 1.

The turn is the 3d and Iwaniak bets 600, and her opponent instantly folds. As Iwaniak is stacking her chips, she turns to the new player and says, "You spend all that time building an image, and then they break your table!". Thankfully for Iwaniak, this is unlikely to happen to her today, as players are breaking into the Brasilia Room, not out of it.

Linda Iwaniak - 7,000

Ger Smyth Stacking Chips

With both the small blind and the big blind not at the table, action folds to a player in middle position, who limps in. Ger Smyth debates raising but elects to just limp behind from the cutoff. The button folds, and action is heads up to the flop.

The flop is Kh Kd 7s and both players quickly check. The turn is the Ad and the other player bets. Smyth quickly calls, and the pair see the 7h arrive on the river. Again, both players quickly check, and Smyth, a player who has traveled from Ellesmere Port in the United Kingdom, shows Ac 10c, enough for his opponent to muck his hand and send the pot in the direction of Smyth.

Ger Smyth - 6,500

Simon Lawlor Back to Starting Stack

In a blind-on-blind hand, there is 650 in the pot and the board reads Js Jc 3c. Simon Lawlor is in the big blind and faces a bet from the small blind. He calls, and the pair then both check the 10c on the turn.

The river is the 8s and the small-blind player bets 700. Lawlor tanks, commenting, "I have three jacks...," before sighing and calling. His opponent taps the table in defeat, and Lawlor shows Jh 9s to take the pot, putting him back to today"s starting stack of 5,000.

Simon Lawlor - 5,000

As Dave points out, Craig McCorkell is chip-leader of #23 with 20 left, having been 26/27 overnight.

Mercier"s event, #24, has just resumed, with 14 left, as has #25, the $2,500 Main Event Finalists Meet-up, featuring Ryan Reiss, Joe Cada, Jonathan Duhamel and Dennis Phillips, as well as near-missers Daniel Negreanu, Justin Schwartz and Yevgeniy Timoshenko, all in the top fifty.
