Robert Battell flat calls 1k from under the gun.
It folds to JP Round in the small blind who completes and John Murray checks from the big blind.

Jh 5c 10h flop has Robert betting out 3k.

JP folds and John says "I"ve gotten myself into a situation now!"

He eventually folds and Robert shows Jc

(JP Round)

(John Murray)

Back for day 2 and there has been a few interesting hands already...

Blinds 500/1000, ante 100

Kev O"Hanlon tries to make it 1800 but is reminded that 2000 is the minimum and 2000 is he bet that stands.
Mark Lassman moves all in for around 24k. It folds to Kev who flicks his cards in and takes his 2k back...the dealer takes it back from him and Kev looks confused.
He hadn"t heard Mark go all in and thought he had won the had without contention...

Shirley Cole and Terry Evans manage to get it in pre flop...

Shirley, at risk, has Js Jd
Terry has 8s 8h

They both think the first card over is an 8 for a moment! But the board comes 9c 5s 9s 9d 10c

Nice double up for Shirley without too much damage to Terry.

It is JP Round"s turn, over on table 3, to give it a go with Js Jc

He is called by Craig Dawson holding Ah Kd

6h 2h Qd Qc Qs

JP also gets the double up.

Table 1 sees some action

Michael O"Mahoney raises from early position to 2.6k
Warren, in the small blind, makes the call.

They go to the flop heads up 6h 4c 10h

Warren checks and Michael makes it 2.5k
Warren makes the call and the turn is 9d

They both check.

The river is Ah and Warren checks again.

Michael fires out for 4.2k
Warren resignedly flicks in a 5k chip to make the call and his resignation is justified as Michael says "flush" and shows Qh 9h

Warren mucks and Michael scoops that pot.

Table 3

JP makes a raise to 2.5k
Alan Ellis moves all in for around 25k

JP thinks for a considerable amount of time, weighing it up...and makes the call.

JP has Alan covered and has Ac Qh
Alan is ahead but at risk with 5h 5d

The first card over is Qs and puts JP ahead...the second card is the 5c putting Alan back ahead and looking like he"ll be staying that way

The board runs out Qs 5c Jh 9h 9s

Alan gets the double up.

Table 3

Mark Lassman, short stacked, finds himself all in against Steve Roderick.

Mark has Ad Qd

Rodders has 9h 9c

10c 9s 5h on the flop puts Rodders way out in front but still outs for Mark...

5d on the turn kills those outs and there"s a 7c on the river.

This means Mark is the first player out on day 2 in 27th place.

Table 2

Joining the hand with a flop of 3d 9d 8s

David Harvey has moved all in with Anthony Napolitano and Ben Keely in the hand.

Anthony makes a fairly quick call and Ben a similarly speedy fold.

David has Ks 10s and is at risk
Anthony has Ac 9s

8h on the turn doesn"t change much...David needs help

Kc and he gets it and David gets a more than double up.

(Dave "The Hitman" Harvey)

Table 3

Robert Battell is all in with Ad Qd against Kev O"Hanlon with A h Jh on a Qh 7d 10h flop.

Robert is the player at risk but not by much.

7s on the turn and 10c on the river and Robert gets the double. Kev is on around 20k.

Table 2

Emma Swaisland* makes the move and puts all her chips on the line with Ad Ks
Don makes the call with 10d 10h

4c 9s 3h 9h 3s no help for Emma, Don scoops the pot.

Emma leaves the tournament in 26th place.

*Was Emma Spurway until very recently, apologies for the mix up and congratulations!

Table 2

Dinh Phan moves all in, very short stacked.
Anthony Napolitano makes the call and shows Ac Jd
Dinh has 10c 10d and is at risk.

9d 3h 2d safe flop

Ah not a safe turn, Anthony out in front

Jd and Anthony keeps the lead.

He sends Dinh to the rail in 25th place.

Table 3

In a very familiar scenario...

JP Round moves all in

Craig Dawson calls

JP had Js Jd

Craig has Ah Qs

9d 9c 2d 4d 9h

JP gets the double up.

(JP Round)
