team event
« on: September 18, 2008, 14:49:17 PM »
Newcastle Poker Forum is looking to possibly stage a Forum team event at the Grosvenor Newcastle upon Tyne either in December but more likely in the early weeks of January 2009.
The event will have a maximum capacity for 20 teams of 10 players with 4 teams being reserved for our members. It will be a ONE day event on a Saturday which will start mid afternoon and finishing in the early hours of Sunday played as a Deep Stack Tournament.

Anyone forum or group interested in submitting a team please let me know at deeiron@hotmail.com or by PM at www.newcastlepoker.com

Thanks

What is the buy-in, how many chips, how long are the levels, what is the structure?

For it to be a deep stack of 200 runners over one day, I take it that it will be short levels?

the event is just at its very early stages at the moment and it may even be that it runs into the Sunday for its final stages. We will look to put on a structure that appeals to most players so dont worry about that. I only posted this to give people the opportunity to express their interest to us.

P.S> Dont worry because we have gas, electricity, inside toilets and all mod cons now up in Newcastle. We wont allow cloth caps and whippets in on the day ;D

Does it need to be a forum or can it just be a group that plays together? If so then i"m sure I could rustle up an eager team from Glasgow...

Do you have any kind of rough idea what the buy in will be per player/team?

Also will it be in the same style as APAT forum event where there was individual prizes and group/forum prizes?

Just as a note of warning, it is highly likely that APAT's first National event of Season Three will be held at around this time.
