I know you like your funny names John, there's a great one in event #41 the PLO.

Poor guy is called Willy Ding!  ;D

Has anyone paid for Poker Go and watched the live streams? I'm a bit reluctant to pay but if the coverage is good I might do a month for $10. Have seen a couple of negative posts about it bit that may have been simply due to stream delay. Interested in views on if it offers value for money.

Also really annoying that WSOP have wiped their historical videos off of you tube.

I see that Willy has cashed, Dave, and has previous cashes, so I'm sure he'll pop up again.

I wouldn't be worried about whether it's value for money if you're going to watch the Series for a month for $10. Can you just do a month or will you be stuck for longer? I wouldn't pay $120 a year for it.

Event 35: $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit Hold'em (ages 65+, 1 re-entry)
Winner          James Moore
Runners          1720
Paid          258
Final Table          9

Player          Position          Points
Chris Bjorin          72          1

Selector          Points
Irish Tom          1

James Moore became the first player to defend his title successfully this year. Heimiller and Mercier came very close, but Moore is the only one to get there.

Ken Aldridge was the most colourful player on the final table. Ken is known for two peculiarites. One is that he has worn his bracelet every day since he won it in 2009, never taking it off except to clean it. I can't remember what the other one is.

How quickly they forget. How long since McKeehen won the Main Event? Two years. Five cashes last year, including two final tables. How many of us picked him on our teams? None. I predict that won't be the case next year after this.

Another 2016 Champion came close to defending. Ian Johns was chip-leader, but wasn't able to close it out.

I've got the 1 month pass. It's pretty good tbh.

A new event, super-turbo bounty. The whole thing took 15 hours end-to-end. I don't know if that's a record, but it might be.

The only memorable thing about it was that Francisco Lingaling cashed in 150th place.

NLHE may be a young man's game now but this was just like old times - Ted Forrest, Don Zewin, David Sklansky all in the top dozen or so.

Heads-up was between these two bucks:

              v
William Kohler                                                  Ernest Bohn

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo - for those times when you feel like the world is going too fast nowadays.

Event 41: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha
Winner          Loren Klein
Runners          870
Paid          131

Plenty of well-known names cashed in this, and we had none of them. Not our finest hour.
[Modified to include Thomas Taylor and a point for Leigh.]

The event would be totally forgettable for us if it wasn't for Paxo spotting Willy Ding.

TJ Cloutier (now aged 77) made the final table. Actually, his name has cropped up quite high in several tournament updates.
